Used 2004 Ford Ranger Consumer Reviews
4 x 4 Supercab Ranger
Had a love/hate thing for Ford products but I'm up to 6,000 miles in all kinds of weather and road conditions and I love this truck. Put on 3,00 miles the first 2 weeks. Gas mileage needs improvement but its a 4.0 with the 5 speed auto and it does have a lot of power. It's quiet inside under all conditions and speeds, rides firm, handles well, stops great with standard ABS, and love that power from a V6. Can't beat it at price when you compare drive train, brakes, and package options. No problems, body fit and paint is great, mechanicals are perfect. It's the best buy!
i love my truck
I bought my 2003 Ranger in August of Last year and it has been a superb truck, I only have had one problem with it but it was also -30 degrees, and it started hard and didnt idle, which the dealer said was unfortunate but normal and the replaced some parts and has never happened again. I have 2 snowmobiles, and i use this truck to pull them and it does very well. I have gotten 2 speeding tickets in it and never realized i was speeding. I couldnt ask for more, it was a great year end special, and i got the 0% interest. i love my truck. by the way, i now have 45,000 miles on it. the only thing i've had to do to it was oil changes, and a new set of tires.

2004 Ranger
Had a few problems but nothing major. I love the truck. Have always had a 150 and stepped down to a Ranger and love it.
BUILT FORD TOUGH???????
It is a stylish fun vehicle. It has good pickup, a good sound system and is reliable. I am a homebuilder, and the body is like a tin can....No solidness about this vehicle. If you get stuck, there is no place to tow from. I put a bed liner in so it doesn't seem so flimsy (chinsy). I like the vehicle, but I am disappointed that being as non- solid as it appears, that the vehicle does not get better mpg. I drive 80% hiways, and have NEVER gotten over 20 mpg.
Economy that works
The acquisition cost at the end of the season sold me on the Ford Ranger. Incentives and discounts comprised 25% of the acquisition. Thus a new vehicle and warranty for the price of a used vehicle. The vehicle has a solid feel and good road manners. Handles corners well. Economy is what it is for a truck but performance of the little v-6 is better than the test on a 4 cylinder. I have friends who have close to 200.k on thier truck. that also sold me on the Ranger.
