Good truck
The power of 4.0 liter engine makes this feel like a big truck. I have no complaints with this vehicle other than the fuel economy, which with the automatic transmission has been between 17-18 mpg, no better than my old F-150 with the discontinued 4.9 liter 6 cylinder engine.
this is my second ranger there great

Third Ranger is a charm
My third Ranger and by far the best to date. My mileage is 16.5mpg and I don't baby her either. Love her and plan on keeping this 4x4. Previous Rangers are as follows: '97 (2wd 2.3) had butt loads of rear axle problems and no umph. I gladly traded it in for an '02 (2wd 3.0) and really enjoyed it until the Nebraska winter; needed a 4x4.
mileage stinks
the truck is great. but the gas mileage that it gets is really bad. i have yet to get over 240 miles on a tank of gas and thats driving mostly freeway going to and from work. no i wont recomend this vehicle to anyone unless they love spending money on fuel.
My First NEW vehicle
As the first new vehicle I have purchased, I have liked my Ranger immensely. Everything about the truck has been good. I have made a couple of improvements (new stereo, fog lights, bed liner, bed cover) that have helped make the truck better. For a small light pickup, I would recommend the Ranger to anybody who needs one.
