Great truck so far but the chrome is already rusting with only 2,900 miles!
Great 4X4 Value
I have owned my 2003 FX4 Level II for right at one year now, and it has been everything that I hoped it would be. If you are thinking of getting one of the two off road packages offered in FX4 trim, definitely go with the Level II. I think it is the best value compact 4X4 pickup on the market. I would definitely buy another... but maybe not black next time.

Nice fun ride
I have never had a truck before. My Ranger is surprisingly quiet and peppy. I got the super cab and the extra doors are a big plus for putting items inside for protection. There are little features like cup holders and storage pockets I did not expect. I got the 4.0 engine to pull my boat-the fuel economy could be a little better. get the 3.55 axle if you care about fuel economy.
PLESANTLY SUPRISED
I bought this truck to use as a work truck. I might change my mind. This sporty EDGE crewcab has been fun to drive. I can zip around town with the V- 6 and still get over 300 miles a tank. It is quiet and handles like a car. The other carmakers beware, Ford is changing for the better !
Good Value
This vehicle has been very reliable. It's fun to drive and does great in the snow. It's comfortable but this may be the weakest point in this truck when driving long distance. The shoulder harness does not go low enough for a short person and hits me in the side of the neck. It's the only thing I don't like about this truck.
