Used 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Consumer Reviews
My First American Car in 12 years.
For years I have said that if the US Big 3 could just make a world class hybrid, I would buy it. Based on Edmunds and some other sources, I pre- ordered this before they were released. For me that was a big gamble. I think it paid off well. The car is well built, engaging and fun to drive. Despite the battery packs, there is enough trunk room for my wife, 17 year old son and I to have taken a trip to Disney World and felt like we had plenty of room even with our baggage. I'm using the electronic dash to help teach my boy not to lead-foot the gas pedal, which is a totally unexpected side benefit..
Better than the new Prius
Unless max MPG and cargo space are of paramount concern, the Fusion Hybrid is a better choice than a comparably- priced Prius V. The Fusion has a roomier interior, better exterior styling, drives better, and has better features overall. The car is a tech-lover's dream. Microsoft SYNC is amazing, and the SmartGauge instrument panel is state of the art. Blind spot warnings is a plus. I highly advise splurging on the fully-loaded package, because the nav screen is great. The ride is smooth and surprisingly quiet. Hybrid integration is seamless, and the 2.5L engine provides ample acceleration. Leg & head room are good, front & back, for my 6' frame. I love this car. Way to go Ford!!

45mpg average
excellent fuel economy, impressive interior and features, solid feel, seating is a little uncomfortable and interior feels a little on the tight side.
Best Hybrid on the market
No two ways about it the Fusion is the BEST HYBRID. With 4100 miles it's averaging 44 mpg. Just ran 1200 miles almost all highway with AC on at an average speed of 65 mph and got an astounding 44.3 mpg around town even better at about 49 mpg. Unbelievable!!!
Pleasureable Driving Experience?
Absolutely! In today's hustle-n- bustle world, never thought it possible, to actually look forward to getting behind the wheel! '97 Accord served me well for 13 years, but I was ready to give Ford a go. Thus far, am extremely happy. The ride's head-n-shoulders more comfortable/enjoyable than the Accord. Awesome economy; improving daily w/experience. Exceeding 40 MPG combined, and rising, doubling the Accord. Technology's there to achieve awesome results, yet with slightly practiced driving discipline, happiness prevails. Fun to drive: can improve, when not pushed by over-aggressive motorists. Build quality/reliability: too early for an accurate assessment, happy so far.
