Used 2014 Ford Fiesta Hatchback Consumer Reviews
Transmission failure at 100,000 km
Bought the car in 2017 from a dealer when it had only 41,000 km. Owned it for 3 years and only put 60,000 more km on it during that time. All its scheduled maintenance has been done, on time, and only at the Ford Dealership. They also did the Control Module replacement, as per Ford's recall. Took it for its scheduled oil change yesterday and asked them to also check a small noise I could hear coming from the front end. They said the entire transmission assembly needs to be replaced (~$5500 CND). This car has been pampered but hasn't even lived long enough to see its first scheduled transmission fluid change. Spoke to both the Dealership and Ford Canada and they won't offer a thing. Now I understand why there were Class Action lawsuits over this car in both Canada and the US. Sadly, the outcome was to only pay off some folks that had already spent out of pocket on 3+ repairs "on qualified components of the transmission". Ford doesn't want to admit that the entire transmission system is faulty. I guess its lucky I'm not repairing it so I'll keep my money and buy another car - which will NOT be another Ford.

Extremely Reliable and Fuel Efficient
We bought this manual transmission 2014 Fiesta 1.6L Titanium new and it is going strong at 310,000 km's! Only parts replaced other than regular maintenance items were a water pump and a starter. Thoroughly impressed with it, and I would buy it again.

dont trust ford
new fiesta 12.5 worst car ever owned and every part of ford customer relations ,service, finance, and every department in ford I have had the unpleasant pleasure of dealing with .After purchasing car from new to transport foster children and my own relatives children safely to school and there various activities safely. After 3weeks of owning the car it had a intermediate fault, loss of power stalling at junctions and de acceleration it as been returned nearly every month for 15 months and still not rectified .I have been accused of being a liar because a computer says there is no fault showing and I can not drive after 30 years. Child safety is paramount to me. Trust ford they don't care
nice little car
Updated 6/11/20: After almost 3 years of owning this car, I can state that I am basically satisfied. The major trouble areas have been with Sync and the transmission/transmission control module. Fortunately, Ford has issued an extended warranty on these systems so there are no charges for the repairs. I am also getting some rust around the rea wheel wells, but this isn't unusual for the Northeast. Original Review: I was looking for a smaller newer car. This 2014 Ford Fiesta is great. The one thing I Wish it had is a backup camera. a year later I still love this car. and I still wish it had a backup camera. But the smaller size makes it maneuverable and easier to park. It is comfortable on day trips too.

Great LITTLE Car
Moving from an Isuzu Rodeo to the Ford Fiesta took some adjustment. Being 5'2" I expected no problems. But even after 2 years, I am still hitting my head on the door edge when getting into the car. Moving from a vehicle I stepped up into to a vehicle I sit down (lower than I am when standing) has been an adjustment. The cargo area is adequate, but have had some difficulty due to being shorter in overall length inside than the Rodeo. With the purchase of bumper to bumper warranty for 6 years has added a lot of peace of mind. It has GREAT value of gas consumption. I only drive about 3,000 mi. per year, and there have been several times I have forgotten about putting gas in the tank, for over a month, when I started with a full tank. Mileage is great. Pick up is great. For a small person, plenty of seat room, and room for my kayaking stuff. I tow a small/light weight trailer that holds 2 kayaks and after putting an extension to raise the connector ball on the hitch, it has been great for trips to the beach from my home about 1 hour away. For a LITTLE car, this vehicle has been quite functional and comfortable. Visibility is good for the driver and others on the road. Runs smooth, quiet, efficient. Upholstery is in great shape even after 2 years of beach trips and lots of sand inside. I have enjoyed having a little car, but look forward to moving up to a midsize SUV in the next 12 months, (Update: Well, that's not going to happen, unfortunately. Had to buy a new roof and A/C will need replacing soon. Drat!)
