2018 SuperCab XL
Great truck, just hit 42k on miles, so out of factory warranty, had since less than 50 miles, purchased new. Has been in shop for only minor cosmetic issues, no mechanical problems. 3.3 naturally aspirated V6, great power for what it is.. 295 hp... Comfortable, great highway vehicle.

Good woman's truck!
I really love my truck its what everyone calls a work truck as a XL model but at 70 years old it works the best for me. I like the cloth seats, it rides good and starts great in all kinds of weather. It has the V6 in it and so does right well on gas what with these higher cost for gas now. I am looking forward to playing in the snow as it has 4 wheel drive. Also it still has a CD player in the radio so I can listen to my CDs while driving. All and all its a great truck. I plan to keep this one for a long time, pass it on to my grandsons when I can't drive anymore. I am sure it will still be going on as its Ford tough! Love this Ford F150.

2.7 eco-BEAST
I have an ‘18 STX supercab long bed with the 2.7L ecoboost, 10 speed trans and RWD (I live in the south). Pros: Real world fuel economy across 31k miles is 22.9 mpg. Highway trip at 70 typically gets 25.5 mpg. Cruising at 55 mph gets 28+. Power in this little engine is stunning. 325hp and 400 lb-ft. Combined with the light weight of the aluminum truck, this thing is surprisingly quick and will smoke the tires. Have not towed anything but imagine it will have no difficulty up to its rating. Fit and finish on my truck is excellent. My truck does not have carpet. Love this option. Cons: The transmission should get rid of 4th. This gear is a swap shift that requires one clutch to turn off while turning another clutch off. The timing can be clunky. I run in economy mode which seems tries to skip it for best results. The electronic secondary pump in the trans is also whiny, high pitched and noticeable at low speeds. Second con is the light weight of the vehicle especially unloaded with all that torque can be a bit of a handful on wet roads. The 20 inch Michelin tires cannot hook up on painted road features. Just be gingerly with the throttle.

First time Ford buyer
Trucks are insanely expensive now. I never liked the F-150, but after having some poor experiences with the dealerships that sell the truck that was my first choice, I decided to give Ford a shot. I have the 2.7l Ecoboost and am quite happy with it. You have 5 settings for the type of driving you want. If I forget to change it and it stays in normal, I cannot tell I’m driving a V6. In Sport mode it is a blast! I try to stay in Eco to maximize my mpg. My commute is 90 miles round trip, a mix of 70mph highway and 55 mph roads with few stops. I’m getting in the mid 20’s consistently. My local dealer actually wanted to sell me a truck which is nice compared to my former brand. I also save $0.60 a gallon because I can use regular (87) as opposed to the premium I had to put in my old car. This truck is doing a great job of making me feel like I did not settle for what was my third choice. I also feel better about not waiting to get the new 3.0 diesel option (which was my first choice on the other truck). I recommend you drive one for yourself, you may be as pleasantly surprised as I was! ***Update*** I no longer have the truck. Ended up needing 4 doors and wanted to go smaller. Wanted the Ranger very much but Ford dealerships offered the least amount of money for their own product. I went with a competitor. Full disclosure, they all do this. You will get a first great deal but that’s it. I’m glad GM is now using the 10 speed trans-it is awesome!
