Used 2011 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Consumer Reviews
Bad Ecoboost Engine!
I bought my truck used with 55K miles on it. Ever since I bought the truck it has had the common issue of engine shuttering and going into limp mode. I have spent over $6000 attempting to fix the issue. I bought new Full Race Intercooler, throttle body, cold air intake, turbo power pipes, new coils, new plugs 4 times and new exhaust. It still shuttered every time I sped up causing the condensation build up from the intercooler to enter the engine all at once and foul the engine. I then went as far as drilling holes into the lower intercooler, engine side, of the pipe at its lowest point to let all the water continue to drip out. It was ALWAYS Dripping all the time. Yesterday while hauling a car trailer with the truck from Colorado to Texas, all the sudden the engine shuttered one last time, as I again coasted to the side of the road only to find engine oil coming from under the engine. There were NO warnings!!! NO rise in engine temp during entire trip, and engine lights. When I checked the oil it was still within the "add oil" hash marks even after losing some on the ground. After towing it home I have since found out it broke a connecting rod and the engine is finished at only 101753 miles on it and I will now have to buy a new engine!! I feel the issue that Ford has had all along with the condensation build up in the intercooler is the ABSOLUTE cause of this engine failure!!! Constant and at times VERY severe shuttering will cause severe damage to the connecting rods, crank and pistons while misfiring like this, causing the engine to sooner of later fail like mine just did.

Best Truck on the Market!
The below is ranked from the bottom up. I looked at all the Trucks out there. Toyota was plain and not worth the value, there high marks are over rated. The Nissan was pretty cool but the model has not been update since 2004 so it seemed dated. The GM line was very nice but a tad plain in styling on the Exterior and Interior, but a great truck! The Dodge was a close second and the ride was awesome, great exterior and interior. But the Ford came out on top. Hot styling, great interior, High Technology in a truck package! Overall the best Truck on the Road with a very high quality of fit and finish! Quiet and a decent ride quality. Plenty of power and proving to be great on mileage .

2011 ECOJUNK
1. Don't buy this truck. 2. The motor has issues and Ford does not know how to fix them. I have had mine in the shop at least 5 times for the same issues since the week I bought it. 3. The gas mileage estimates are not even close. If I drive 65 on a flat highway, I may get 17.5 MPG. On average, my truck get's 14.9 MPG. 4. The suspension is garbage and Ford does not know how to fix it. I was literally given a can of WD40 by the Ford Service Writer as the solution to the constant squeaking. He said just keep spraying the WD40 on the bushings to stop the noise. I sprayed daily for a week and no improvement. My neighbors think I drive a 60 year old truck.

2011 F 150 4wd ecoboost experience....
When its well its great! Purchased NEW, Doors clunk on rough road surfaces. Been adjusted at dealership 4 different times. Doors still clunking. Ford has NO solution and will not admit to the problem....numerious calls to Ford customer relations been stonewalled! They can't fix this in warantee but say NOW it can be fixed out of warantee if I pay for it! This is @%x#!!!. Timing chain "Death Rattle"... Ford say this won't hurt a thing till it breaks or jumps time and and destroys motor Ford ignored this in warantee but says it's a $2800 problem for me now it's out of warantee...Comfortable,fun truck to drive!! Oh, poor millage.. don't believe Ford's 22mph claim, it' more like 12 mpg!
Comfort is king
Gas mileage is not what u buy this for. If its room, power and comfort.... Go for it! Been on 2 long trips with 4 adults since purchasing this beast. Outstanding highway vehicle. Very satisfying. Around town is great too. I keep it as spotless as possible because it looks sharp.
