Ford - Not your best effort for a 4X4
I recently upgraded my 2001 SC 4X4 F150 to the FX4 SC 2004. The ride is great on the road. Off road is a different story. For off roading the ground clearance stinks. My wifes Toyota Highlander can make it through ruts without bottoming out like the new FX4. The new SC is more an SUV then a real off road 4 wheel drive. Ford should be ashamed. Lift the truck by 4 inches minimum.
2004 F-150 SuperCrew
The 2004 F-150 SuperCrew holds the road well, offers a solid ride and comfortable room for five. Still,it leaves room for improvement. One bugaboo is the A/C; you have to hit a smallish button every time you start the vehicle to engage the A/C. The Continental tires that came standard are cheapish, and would be much better with Goodyears or Goodrich truck tires.

ford outdoes the chevy
I have owned chevy trks for 12 years, this is my first exp. with a ford and I have to say I am very pleased.......
Wow
This is the first full-sized P/U I've owned and I'm thoroughly impressed with the build quality, power, ride, comfort, interior & exterior layout and how quiet the cabin is. Combine those traits with the new rack & pinion steering and this truck is incredible. Trust me - take one for a test drive and you'll be sold.
Family Truck
This is the American family luxuary truck. I have tried all the the big three; chevy, dodge, toyota, and none of them attract my vision. This 2004 F150 is the one. It has everything I want. If you any of you are looking a luxuary truck, don't go any further. Ford is the one without the FX4 Pkge. It ride like a sedan. It has everything a driver need for a family of five. Nice job Ford!
