Great Car. Still Going Strong After 35k Miles

Great car. Purchased new in 2019 and have had for almost three years. Only issues were AC compressor replacement and some engine shutter due to a recall update, of which has since been reversed by the dealership. I am very picky with my vehicles, and after putting a new set of nice tiers on her the other day, I have to say, I am still very impressed with this vehicle. Recommended!

Transmission problems!

I bought my 2019 Ford Expedition used at just under 100K miles. I had the vehicle for 5 months (put on about 5k miles) and it needs a new transmission. Disappointed is an understatement! I was never a Ford fan but after having a 2011 Subaru Tribeca, I loved all of the space and features of the Expedition. I was absolutely in love until I could no longer drive it. Now, it's been in the shop for the last 8 weeks for a full transmission rebuild! The dealership talked us into a rebuild instead of a new one and had to wait several weeks on parts and even received a faulty valve body from Ford. I suppose these are the risks you take when buying pre-owned but I never would have imagined having to pay for a full transmission rebuild on a $30,000 vehicle that I've only owned for 5 months. Never will I ever own another Ford!

Fantastic vehicle

This is a great vehicle. Yes, a few rattles from the timing chain or turbo wastegate but if you have it it’s covered under warranty. Other than that the vehicle has 60k miles on it now and zero other issues. New tires so far and that’s it! Hard to complain about that! Rides very nice. Utilitarian yet nice enough inside. 2019 model and it has most of the bells and whistles minus lane centering (it does have lane keep). Great car and I expect to get 100k+ miles without any issues at this rate.

I'm going to wait until the Range Rover diesel, as in the current F 150, is available. 30 mpg in the F 150!

NEW GENERATION CLUNKER

I've had new Ford-made vehicles since 1999, and each was fantastic with 200+ miles. After purchasing this 2019 Ford Expedition and seeing how others experienced similar issues, I am not going back to Ford. For my first 15-20 miles, my front suspension had to be replaced. Later I've encountered intermittent transmission issues. It now has to be replaced, costing over 9,000. After doing more research, both GM and Ford have a similar transmission issue. I've always wanted to stick with an American-made SUV, but I don't want it at a costly price. Now I'm going with Toyota/Lexus, which have a high value of reliability.
