It is not going to get very good gas mileage around town. Mine came with the rear seat entertainment option, though I doubt we will ever use it. Rides and handles like a very expensive truck that can seat six very comfortability. I plan on using it to haul my 24' boat...

Our first Expedition was a 2018 XLT. Great vehicle until the cam phasers died 1000 miles from home while towing our travel trailer. At that time parts were backordered for 6-8 weeks. “Sorry, no loaner that you can tow with!” We traded it for a 2019 XLT so we could continue our trip. Yes we got creamed on the trade. Cam phasers went out on the 2019 before 20K miles - it was one of the last built before Ford finally corrected the issue. Soon after getting cam phasers replaced the rear shocks and one front strut started leaking - parts backordered because so many other Expeditions were experiencing the same issue. Dealer was only going to replace ONE strut under warranty even though they should always be replaced in pairs. Took it to a private shop and paid for both to get replaced. Still waiting on backordered shocks. Oh by the way, the rear driver’s side door doesn’t fit quite right, mostly just annoying to look in the mirror and see the misaligned trim. Ford quality seems to be slipping with each passing year.

purchased 2019 new from dealership, currently has 50k miles. within 20k miles had to replace all the shocks twice because of leaking. at 36k miles had to replace the navigation screen and also had to replace the cam phasers. at 50k miles cam phasers had to be replaced for a 2nd time and also for some reason the oil pump went as well. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUYING A FORD THESE DAYS. UPDATE: Where to start?!?!?! Purchased new in 2019. Within the first 20k miles had to replace the shocks because of leaks twice. At 25k miles the entire navigation system/screen needed to be replaced (out of warranty $1000), at 36k miles the Cam Phasers had to be replaced, then at 54k miles the cam phasers failed again and had to be replaced for a 2nd time. After I picked up the car, on the way home, the low oil pressure light came on. Dealership towed it back to the shop and this time it was the oil pump failed. At this point Ford extended our powertrain warranty for another 3 yr/36k miles. At 57k miles the car left my family, and I stranded in the middle of the night on the side of a highway coming back from a high school sports game at 11:45pm for 2 hours until AAA showed up. This time the car would not accelerate all of a sudden past 40 MPH! Had it towed to the dealership the next morning and said 2-3 cylinders were misfiring and need to be replaced. I WILL NEVER BUY A FORD EVER AGAIN!!! NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND A FORD TO ANYONE... EVER.

Dec22 bought a "gold certified" 2019 expedition max. It had 65k miles on it and drivetrain is under warranty till 165k miles. So everything was nice. Moved to northeast at March. And nightmare started here. Engine had a knocking noise at cold start, it was like 10-15 secs. After I researched over YouTube figured out there is a problem with vct phasers. April 3rd Took it a dealer in CT they confirmed the issue and told me that they will fix it under warranty. A week after I got a text "your vehicle is ready to pick up" went there turned the engine and there was a rattling noise which wasn't going off. It sounds like rockers. Didn't pick the vehicle and told them the situation. Took videos when the truck was idling. This dealer told me that also I have a low oil pressure issue, parts are backordered and I should wait like 2-3 months. And also they stated that my truck shouldn't be driven, they didn't offer a loaner car as well. Towed my truck to another dealer which was 30+ miles away. Thankfully they gave me a bronco as a loaner car ( not even close to my truck ! ) And this dealer stated that there is no "low oil pressure" issue. The issue is the first dealer didn't change the all necessary parts and that was the reason my engine failed. Now it's over 6 weeks. Parts are backordered, calling ford representatives are just waste of time. I should've continue to drive my old Toyota! This is gonna be my last Ford! Update : problem solved after 17 weeks. But there are new problems now

When we bought out 2019 Expedition Max I was generally pleased, but as soon as we hit 35,000 the problems started. It has been to the dealer over 8 times for a total of 6 weeks. Finally I had them get me a loaner as I was sick and tired of borrowing a car and sharing with my wife. Cam phasers, various front end bearing, vacuum pumps have been replaced. Thank goodness I bought a warranty as this vehicle has less than 43,000 miles and over $5,000 in covered repairs. Buy a Ford, Get an Extended Warranty.
