97 Eddie Bauer
Bought new in 1996, approaching 200K. Overall reliable, engine leaks oil, 3 grand in repairs and dealer still can't figure it out. GREAT in snow, rain, sand. Lots of space for gear. Fuel economy poor, 12 /15 MPG. 5.4L is a must. Found it to be reasonably stable vehicle. Large tank means decent cruising range but filling up to the tune of $60.00 is not fun. Fortunately this is now a back up vehicle so miles and fuel are less. Overall this has been a good solid truck. As said in other reviews, it does take a licking and keep on ticking.
Feel like KING OF THE ROAD
I had the truck since 1997 till now with 128808 miles on it. Have no trouble at all, Not a thing wrong. I feel like "King of the road" every time when I drive it. nothing more to say but a 10+++++
Best Ever!
This is the most functional, reliable, roomy, comfortable vehicle I've ever owned in 36 years of new car purchases.
tran.sensors
factory tires lasted 28000 miles. Check engine light at 32K miles, had to replace transmission sensor pack ($350) although testing indicated nothing wrong with transmission. Check engine light again at 37K .... test indicates "smoke tube" needs replacing.
Great truck!
I love my truck. It's a smooth ride, comfortable/roomy. I brought it in 2004 and it came without a CD changer, but I installed one in there. Could do better on gas. Considering I drive state to state, it's approching 135,000 miles and I never had a problem with it beside changing my oil and I did replace the alternator a year ago.
