A very good first car for younger drivers. Enough power for safe handling but not too much to get out of control. Runs very good, very reliable and very good fuel economy.

This is a great car to start out with! It's cute it's fun and who doesn't like to pay $15 to fill up the gas tank. I wouldnt have wanted to learn to drive a stick on any other car. It is very easy to handle, and the ride is smooth.Big hit with the parents because consumer reports rate it well!!!

I have to drive a lot between places, and this car I bought in 06 with 70,000 miles for only $4,000. The first two years were good, up until 110,000 miles. Transmission needs work now, things keep braking on this car (leaks) unfortunately at this point, the upkeep is getting high I might as well buy a car. A/C blows weak, and my compressor won't make cold air now. I don't know how anyone gets 30 MPG on this. I usually get 350 Miles on a tank, and the tank is 13 gallons, so its 26 MPG for me. Good first car, rides a bit low for me, and dents easily.

Got the car in March. It's a gem and I would like to say that it is a Ford ZX2 not an escort. Runs awesome and the 0- 60 times kill Civics,Cavo's,and even those damn eclipses

I have had nothing but problems with this car. To begin with, I had to take it to the dealer to replace the AC control valve and the starter. A couple of months later, I had to take it back to have the fuel pump replaced. I will never own another Ford Escort ZX2.
