Worst car Ive ever owned
This car is beautiful. Inside & out. I get compliments often. I have the 20 inch chrome wheels & all the bells & whistles. But this car has needed more repairs than any car I’ve ever owned. The worst part is I’ve taken better care of this car than any car I’ve ever owned. I have done all routine maintenance on time. I’m not hard on it during drive time. Still, countless issues. At 60,000 miles & only 4 years old, the touch screen went out completely. That was a $800+ fix. And that didn’t even fix the rear view camera. That’ll be an additional $500 if I want it fixed. I’ve done a $500 hose repair, new rotors, and replaced the TURBO AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER, which was a $3300 repair. Not to mention various other smaller repairs that I can’t think of at the moment. Currently, the transmission is shifting hard and is probably on its last leg. And yes I had the fluid changed at the recommended mileage. Car currently has 99k on it. I can’t believe under 100k and I’ve replaced so many things including major drivetrain stuff. The warranty offered by ford is a joke. I believe it’s 3 or 5 years, 60k . I was so excited about this car when I purchased it. It was a 1 owner, zero accidents, only 40k and everything I was looking for. It seemed like a great value, all the options for the price. But the maintenance and repair bills have been unreal. I truly hate this car and will never purchase this brand again.

Junk. Should have bought the F-150.
I'm 5'7, 145 lbs. and way too small for this car. The seats were built for someone much fatter. I constantly have to fiddle with the seat position: fore, aft, up, down, nothing is comfortable. It might as well have bench seats when I take a corner at a bit of speed. The "bucket" seats don't hold you in place at all. And the repairs!!! The "door ajar" light kept coming on, even though the door was closed. The "place engine in park" light came on while driving 70 mph down the freeway. Those two repairs cost $1600. Thank goodness I purchased the extended warranty which covered electronics! The windshield wipers came on during broad daylight - no shade- even when the weren't set to automatic. The sync is terrible with my iPhone. The sound doesn't always turn off when the button is pressed. The acceleration has a terrible lag. And now, during this autumn heat wave, my air conditioner has gone out. I have only put 15,000 freeway miles on the car and purchased it certified pre-owned 8 months ago. I tried to sell it, but now can't do that due to all the repairs this car has needed. I hate it.

Would rather walk than buy another Ford
got this car back in 2014. Amazing deal and after about a year I learned why. All of the technology has died, even the radio won't turn on. Most importantly there is a part in the door that keeps the door from locking all the time. I learned about this after I was robbed twice. It is a common defect , but there is no recall on it. I lost my laptop, tablets and flag from my uniform in Iraq. Called Ford and they pretty much told me to pound sand. Now the right brake drum is going and the motor in the passenger window is having death throws. So basically I got a car and in 3 years of owning it I will have to pay another 2-3 grand just to have it work the way it is supposed to . I owned a Toyota for over 12 year and never had the problems I am having with this Ford. I don't even do anything strange in it. I just drive on the road.

Great Looking Money Pit
Truth: The Edge is one good looking SUV. It's sleek; the SEL level has lovely interior design and chrome details. Truth: I have never spent so much money on a car or time in the shop as I have with this waste of money. Within 8 months of owning my freshly-built Edge in 2012 I had 3 recalls. The oft-mentioned fuel line recall was scary and took a full week to fix. Currently, 4 years later, I have experienced my "drive terrain" sensor going out (in the middle of traffic) causing my steering column to lock and requiring the car to be towed to the dealer for service; my sunroof shim has fallen off; my nav works about 75% of the time; and as I type, it's in the shop to have the break booster replaced under the extended warranty and my door sensor latch which is "defective" and requires a $275 replacement. In general, the tech is not super reliable and often goes out. The best solution to this is to unplug the car battery and "reboot" the computer. Utterly ridiculous reliability for a $36,000 car. I've also been shocked by how poorly this SUV handles snow or rain. It slides quite a bit, slow stopping time and not nearly enough power to get a good grip on the road when accelerating from a dead stop in snow. It is truly the most disappointing car I've ever owned. **Update: the Turbo engine of our 4 year old Ford had an unserviceable issue that required complete replacement of the engine with no financial assistance from Ford. It would have been $5,500. We said "No, thank you," and made a bee line to Honda. Haven't needed to service my Pilot in 2 years!

2012 Ford Edge has been amazing
I got my ‘12 Edge new and I have almost 120,000 miles on it. It has been a fantastic vehicle! I’ve had no major issues, it’s comfortable, a good size, good gas mileage, and fantastic in the snow - an all around great vehicle. Just in the last year are small things starting to go wrong. The back-up camera doesn’t work properly - sometimes not at all, sometimes upside down, once in a while it works properly. The a/c tube got plugged last summer and it was fixed at the dealership. A couple of weeks ago the same thing happened. Minor issues. I’ve been doing a lot of research for my next vehicle and the bar hs been set high with this Edge. It was definitely a great buy!
