I bought this new and am going on mile 116,000 now. Ford was bad about responding to complaints with the dash warping, which makes me not want to buy another Ford. But this car has been very dependable. I do regular maintenance, and it still runs like a charm!

Great spunk but has fallen apart. I had a faulty hood latch, it flew off on the express way at 70 MPH needed new hood, windshield and roof. $3000.00! Recently, replaced Ball Jonts $300. This week a new transmission, flywheel, starter, horn, another ball joint and bearings replaced. $3800.00. And all this is a result of someone that takes great pride in the upkeep and maintenance of there vehicle. Could you imagine if I didn't!

The Sage Continues

Now I would expect Ford to make a poor car. It is somethimg that is expected of the horrific company. But I decided to try them because I would not want to hate them based on what others think. My Cat does not work,My ignition has just eaten my key, My Gas Mileage is horrible, My car rattles and it is impossible to carry on a conversation on the phone or otherwise while traveling, The car hesitates when I accelerate and has almost caused me to die twice while merging, The dash is warped, the oil pan has a leak,a nd Ford does not care. The makings of a poor company....Ford!

The car is a fun little car to drive. It handles well looks goods. Only problem is that the engine could be a bit more punchy. So if you can get the SVT.

Bought the car used. Drove it for 2 years and put 48,000 miles on it. Sold it to my son as his first car. Now has 150,000 miles. Replaced the trans and timing belt. Its a great car for a first time driver. Maintenance is key, change the oil every 3months and monitor the fluids. It's not A piece of junk like others have said. It's a good solid car, and yes when the miles add up it will need repair, but show me a car with 150K on it that doesn't need repair.
