Aspire resurrected
I bought my Aspire from my cousin (after begging for years for him to sell it to me). It had 163K on the motor at the time. Nine (k) later, the motor finally gave out. I have since had a new motor installed and worked over most of the parts. I don't know what I would do w/out it now! I got 38mpg city and 41mpg highway (easy driving/no AC on)!! I wouldn't hesitate to find another Aspire and get it back on the road too!
Cute, comfy and quick
I have found my 95 Ford Aspire to be a very reliable car. It runs great, does every thing a small car should do, hauls a lot of stuff, and gets good gas mileage.
Stay Away
This car started out well but has ended up being a very expensive. Most parts are not available locally and everytime something needs to be fixed, the parts must be ordered and are not cheap. My brakes alone cost $800. The clutch continually has problems. The keys break often and no one carries the template key anymore. Ford people actually laugh when I pull up to the dealership for anything. They cannot believe that it is still running.
Great Little Gas Saver
Bought mine for $800 with 72k miles on it, immediately got new tires and a tune up. Other than spending $100 on a reman fuel pump is been excellent however it's not fast by any means and going up any hill is a challenge along with no power steering or AC but I average 40mpg and is great in the snow. Love the little guy.

Ford Aspire...Aspiring to be a Real Car
I have had my Ford Aspire (Teal Rocket) for about 3 years now and I must admit that even though I do believe it is the SLOWEST car on the road, it is my favorite car. Its Small and convienient, and still gets the job done. But I have just learned that of my four cylinders, two have next to no compression, I think it is due to working the engine so hard. =)
