    *@$# odometer

The only problem that I have with this year model as with all the early 90's models is that the odometer has a history of breaking. My dad has a 92 3/4 truck with about 400000 miles on it (we think) and my grandpa hasa a 90 model that has about 160000 miles on it both have broken odometers on it as with my 92 1 ton. I think that the malfunction is that they break if you try to reset the trip while you are moving. but otherwise they are the best trucks on the road. (P.S. all of them have a cummins turbo diesel in them.)

This has got to be the best truck ever made. Sure its rough riding and the extended cab is just for kids but for its design and use its the greatest truck out there.

Simple and reliable with great fuel mileage

These trucks are unbelievably simple and efficient. The VE pumped 12 valve CTD backed with the 5spd manual transmission should net you decades of trouble free service and exceptional fuel mileage. I've owned a 1992 extended cab dually for over 15 years now and while it's not the truck with the most creature comforts and it's far from the fastest, it is always the truck that is going to start, take abuse and deliver a solid (hand calculated) 22-25 mpg.
