BUY CHEAP....BUY TWICE!!
Cheap made economy car. Gets you from point A to point B and that's all the good things I have to say about it. Fuel economy is not very good for this size of car. BRAKES, BRAKES, BRAKES THEY SOUND LIKE A TRAIN COMING TO A STOP !!!!
Pleasant surprise
I was set on buying the Civic VP, but rerouted when I tried the Neon. A comfortable ride with peppy engine and good handling, though not nearly as smooth as the Civic. But it's far superior in styling and has a lot more personality than any other car in its price range. It's a better buy too After rebates/tax/tags/etc. I would've spent $14-15K for a 2-door auto Civic with only AC and CD. For $13K total I got a 4-door Neon with AC, CD (great sound), sport appearance (spoiler!), keyless entry, Identity security system, power package and heated side mirrors.

Love My Neon
This is the second Neon which I have owned. I would still have my '98 if it wouldn't have been killed in a car accident. They are cute cars that are very reliable and give me above basic transportation at a good price that I was looking for.
Pretty good car for price
It has a few minor problems such as brakes emitting excessive brake dust but overall a pretty good buy
Great Little Performer
For the two months I have owned my Neon SXT, I have been very satisfied with nearly every aspect. The five speed transmission could use a little more refinement, but the engine is peppy enough to satisfy everyday drivers. Fuel economy has been very good - averaging 27 MPG. One thing I love is the virtual lack of a power lag while the AC is on. My Neon's ride and handling are excellent for a small car. Cabin room is more than I expected - even my 6ft-2in tall best friend can sit comfortably in the rear seat. The interior design is clean, functional and solid, though I'm prone to accidentally hitting the stereo controls when I'm shifting. My Neon is a great car that I'm happy I purchased.
