Excellent vehicle
I just traded in my 2016 Journey R/T with 146,000 kilometres on it. I can not understand why people complain about the fuel economy and brake wear with these vehicles as I still had the factory original brake pads on all four corners of my Journey when I traded it in with plenty of life left in the pads. I found the highway fuel economy to be excellent and frequently drove over 1000 kilometres, through the mountains, without stopping for gas. I found my Journey had excellent acceleration and held the road with no issues in all conditions with it never getting stuck in the winter. My family and I found the interior to be quite comfortable and to easily have enough room for a family of five. I would still own my Journey but found I was using it too much for hauling more than a family so I upgraded to a truck.

Dodge the 2016 Dodge Journey Crossover
I like the U connect and heated seats. My dislikes are several sets of tires even with tire rotations and alignments. Evap system code errors and two repairs. Crank case sensor failure and Crank case sensor wiring harness failure. The vehicle has left me stranded several times even with routine maintenance. Most money I have ever spent on a vehicle repairs on any vehicle that I have ever owned. Do yourself a favor Dodge the Dodge brand or you will pay for it.

WORST SUV EVER!!!!
I brought a 16 dodge journey. I have had it 2 years and the transmission is gone in it. Due to no fault of my own. Dodge wants me to pay out of pocket about $4,000 for a new tranny. I still owe $12,000 on it. I pay $400 a month. I'm a single hard working mother. This is a horrible SUV, I cant believe they want me to pay out of pocket. There has be about 24 recalls altogether. I had a recall of the ECM . And the Journey has also had transmission pump recall but they say it doesn't apply to my vehicle. But I believe it dose. I did not to the transmission. I have taken care of the vehicle and this is what happens.
Journey
The third row seating is very helpful for larger families. It looks small, but it's actually pretty roomy.

One of the worst vehicles I've ever driven
This is the standard issue company car for the company that I work for. The FWD 4 banger is what most of my coworkers get, but because I live in the Northeast, they upgraded me to the AWD version, which automatically upgrades the engine to the V6 Pentastar. Note that this outdated engine still requires 3000 mile oil changes. It's loud and makes a lot of horsepower, but when paired to this obesely overweight compact SUV, is not impressive. The transmission slips and clunks around between gears and doesn't downshift quickly enough when you need to floor it. Body roll is horrible, and it feels very insecure around corners at highway speeds. The front seats are heavily bolstered which might be comfortable for someone shorter and smaller than me, but at 6 feet and 215 lbs, my thighs are sore after a long drive. Steering response feels kind of like stirring a straw in a slushie. My particular Journey has some sort of electrical defect which causes the headlights to briefly flicker randomly, not to complete darkness, but enough that it is noticeable, and my local Dodge dealer can't figure out the problem. The touchscreen system which controls the radio and climate control system requires way too many touches to change climate settings. Bluetooth is not standard equipment in 2016, which is ridiculous. Rear visibility is abysmal, and a backup camera and/or parking sensors are not standard either. The power window motors sound like they are straining to raise or lower the windows. On the upside, cargo room is excellent, and with the 2nd row seats folded down rivals most midsize SUVs. The 3rd row seating is ok for kids, but adults will be very cramped. I see them everywhere, probably because they are dirt cheap, but you get what you pay for. There are many other better choices.

Don’t buy!
This car has been the worst headache I have ever had. It’s been in the shop 5 times for water damage that’s coming from seals that were not sealed correctly from dodge.
