Happy Journeyman
Despite some of the bad reviews this thing gets online, my wife and I love our Dodge Journey Crossroads Plus. It's comfy, spacious, has plenty of power for us with the 4 cylinder, looks sharp with the Crossroads Plus trim, and the infotainment system is arguably the best in the world. You can get all kinds of add-ons that are mostly just preference items - we have some key upgrades like the 8.4 Uconnect system, power seats, and back-up camera. The only real cons I can think of is the 4-speed transmission is kind of choppy at lower speeds (not noticeable for highway driving and such). For the price, this is the most spacious SUV you can buy, and it's packs a nice ride to boot. If you want a sports car or full size monster SUV, then well, get one of those. This is an affordable family mover and fills that role very well.

CrossRoad Plus Rocks
I recently bought my new dodge CrossRoad Plus and currently have 5000 miles on it. There are many pluses on the SUV and very few minuses when it comes to operation, comfort and road worthiness. My SUV has Fast pickup and passing capabilities as the V6 is very strong with great torque, it is very easy to see all around the vehicle and has minor blind spots when going down the road. My gas mileage on trips has been 23.0 MPG and normal everyday driving is at 20.5 - 21.0 MPG for average. If I am trying to get places quickly and planting my foot the gas mileage will drop 1-2 MPG. The interior is roomy for a compact SUV and has a great amount of cargo space, it also has a number of hiding places like the compartments under the rear floor board. The controls are easy to use and the 8.4 inch infotainment screen is wonderful, with easy to use ergonomics on the screen as well as on the steering wheel. I can go to Costco and Sam's and carry almost as much in this vehicle as in my full size Dodge Ram. I have seating for 7(even though I have never used the far back seats) and the seats are very comfortable. I do wish that I had air vented seats in the front and power passenger seat as my wife is very used to that and some times in the Texas weather your bum gets warm as we do drive more distances. I listen to my music from my phone using slacker radio and the sound is very rich and bold. It can be ran very loud and it automatically turns the music down when you are at stop lights or idling. I also like the fact that if I use navigation on my phone the sound is ported through the sound system while in the Player mode on the radio, so when I am listening to my music the navigation sound is easily understandable(I did not get the 8.4 infotainment system with navigation this time around). The Drivers seat is very comfortable on short and long trips and is easily adjustable. I like the tilt and telescope on the steering column and it easy to adjust as well. The ride comfort on my Journey is amazing, I test drove many vehicles including Hyundai, KIA, Jeep, Chevy, Ford, Chrysler and found the Journey was more comfortable than any of the other compact SUVs and comparable to vehicles with a much longer wheel base. I believe it has one of the best rides in the industry, I have owned more than 30 vehicles in my time of driving. Overall the vehicle is fantastic it has everything that we need and more for an outstanding price. My only draw back on this vehicle is the downshift when passing as it takes too long to happen and when using the cruise control(which I do on a daily basis), it will take a drop of 3 MPH before it downshifts. I think this was done for gas mileage purposes. It has a 6 speed transmission and I think it would have been better with a 7 speed for the cruise control downshift issue that I see. The Journey has been around for some time and FCA/Dodge has worked all of the kinks out of this vehicle. 30000 miles on the Journey now. The car is great and have no issues. I recently recieved a recall notice to flash the cruise control system but I have not experienced any problems. I took the Journey in at 22000 due to a warning light which stated that it was an ABS system fault, it turned out to be a sensor was intermittently failing in the ABS System at the passenger front brake. It was replaced free and was done after an hour wait with no appointment. The Journey has been great so far, still rides great, you can put all the groceries and family in at the same time and still be comfortable(we shop at Costco). For the money no other vehicle in the segment comes close and the Journey will seat 7. You may get a few more creature comforts in others but overall this SUV rocks.

Replacement for my '02 Ram QC to work out of
UPDATED INFO: Dodge really made a mistake killing this vehicle. Ok have now owned it 6 years with 52k on the odometer. Still gets over 23 mpg hey and combined runs 19+ Had to replace e brake cable a week ago first thing to actually break, and I’m not gentle on a vehicle 80-90mph on hiway and rough county and small town roads around home. Dealer said brake still good to go at least till next service in 6000 miles. Now 3 years in still happy with it. At 4 years now retired, 41000mi on it will most likely keep it at least another 6 since Dodge has decided to discontinue, Unless I decide to by an RV then will consider either a Jeep Wrangler to tow behind, motor home or A Ram 3500 if I go with a towable trailer. Only 2 brands I consider buying are Chrysler or Hyundai products. After 2 years I would buy another the worst thing on the car is voice recognition is horrible and I refuse to pay Garmins highway robbery to update the maps. Had to have a redownload of the UConnect software since somehow it went bonkers last spring so I got updated map then. But the growth in DFW means a year late there are many new streets added yearly. First bit I was did a few road trips to the Hill Country for training with a manager without ladders on the roof. Since the first of the year most has been local work related, mpg wth ladders on the roof in D/FW traffic runs 17-17.5. Satisfied as I do quite a bit of idling while on the computer in the vehicle. I was looking to replace my 14 year old truck with nothing wrong with it other than sucky fuel mileage avg around 12 due to working out of it in Texas summers means idling a lot while typing reports for my home inspection job and my roofing job quotes. I am able to get an 16' compact 3 section extension ladder inside with the front passenger seat up or down inside the vehicle unfortunately my 24' would not fit inside, problem solved by adding Thule crossbar system up top. I also carry my bag of tricks for inspection and quoting work, two laptops, an all-in-one HP printer, roofing sample boards, sticky soled tennis shoes, and dedicated roof walking boots. The cargo management of this kicks my 1/2 ton pickup in the tail, plenty of room for office supplies, files, raingear, etc... I have done one road trip from DFW down to San Antonio and Austin avg. mpg was 26.5 at 75-85 mph. in town 20.8 vs. the trucks 18 highway and 10-11 in town working. The sound system, and 8.4" Uconnect is great, leather seats, plenty of power outlets for the computers, printer, various chargers. The seats and driving position are superb and comfortable. This is a great little vehicle, I really like the style, less coupe looking design, and the driving position and visibility. I was considering the Jeep Patriot too cheap looking even on the up graded trims, the Hyundai Santa Fe too smooth and rounded looking restricted visibility and felt more cramped to me for more money when similarly equipped, and last the Subaru Forester which lacked the interior storage options and when similarly equipped was several thousand dollars higher. If you need a nice compact package that feels bigger than it is give this a look, the Crossroad Plus package is the best deal I found for a balance of value, room, and nicely equipped car based SUV. I have driven various Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth products since the 1970's reliability has always been solid. I see no reason this one will be any different.

Great SUV for family of 4 and a dog
The Journey is very easy to drive, no blindspots as in my previous Kia. Children can easily get in and out of the 2nd row, dog can get in out of the back area. Lots of room with the 3rd row down and the extra cubbies in the floorboard are very useful. It has more power and maneuvers very well.

Excellent vehicle
I just traded in my 2016 Journey R/T with 146,000 kilometres on it. I can not understand why people complain about the fuel economy and brake wear with these vehicles as I still had the factory original brake pads on all four corners of my Journey when I traded it in with plenty of life left in the pads. I found the highway fuel economy to be excellent and frequently drove over 1000 kilometres, through the mountains, without stopping for gas. I found my Journey had excellent acceleration and held the road with no issues in all conditions with it never getting stuck in the winter. My family and I found the interior to be quite comfortable and to easily have enough room for a family of five. I would still own my Journey but found I was using it too much for hauling more than a family so I upgraded to a truck.
