This car drives like a BMW. Quiet, fast, corners great, great mileage, faster, tons of room, and the Audi/ BMW crowd are not even aware of what just passed them. Love the car and the price you can get these used.

Dreading the Day

I am dreading the day when I will have to replace this car. There is simply nothing currently on the market that can replace this car's interior space. Also despite it's size, it drives like a much smaller car. I currently have in excess of 100,000 miles on this car after purchasing it new in 2002. Mechanically, the transmission had to be rebuilt at 80,000 miles, and have had no other problems. The interior is still excellent with no visible wear (two children). I also replaced the 17" chrome wheels with Vox aftermarket aluminum wheels due to corrosion causing rim leaks. This has been the best 4 door sedan I have ever owned including Volvos, Mercedes, and Toyotas I owned in the past.

A Great Ride

2002 Dodge Intrepid SE 4dr Sedan (2.7L 6cyl 4A)

An outstanding ride for a relatively low price. I love sport sedans and the exterior shape of the Intrepid gave me a lot to work with. I had it outfited it with a Spoiler, air Scoops, rims, flames, sports exhaust and more. In terms of interior comfort, it rides like a cadillac, with spaciousness to spare. The cab forward design allows the intrepid to sit glued to the road at all speeds. Power to weight ratio, with anything from a 201HP - 250HP sealed engine, it really moves. The ride is super quiet & when idling you are unaware that the engine is running. No problems whatsoever with this car. Recommend it to anyone wanting a good sporty sedan.

WOW! Biggest Sports Car on the Road!

People seem to be complaining about gas mileage? Come on people, get REAL! Per SQ. Ft., this is no doubt the most economical SPORT/Family-"FunToDrive" car on the road!! At 234HP, this vehicle with a 3.5L Outperforms ANY car in it's class/year and price range. More importantly, it does it with style, agility and room to spare! If you want 2-4 MPG more, go for half the room, no pep, flat, boring Honda and pay thousands more! Buy this however, and you can put a couple of those thousands in the gas tank and be very pleanantly surprised and happy with all the room and style you got, not even to mention the truely spirted drive you'll experience!

I bought my 02 Intrepid last year at 27,000 miles. Now at 42,000 engine check light comes on once a while and just turns off, even computer diganosis couldnt figure out where the plm is coming from. My car has a spoiler and tinted window. It is very sporty looking same time a family car. Its like a small airplane on a highway. However, the radio should be better and u cannot even see the front part of the car when u are parking. MPG should improve thou...
