Used 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan Consumer Reviews
piece of s—- car
air conditioner has failed three times first motor then line leaking then lines leaking again . service in winnipeg is a joke had to wait three months for them to repair and then came to the states and air broke again had to fix but it took one day but it was the same problem winnipeg just fixed i want to find out if anyone else has had trouble with their air conditioning.
Biggest let down ever.
We bought it brand new and have had a misfire since about the first month.( they cant find it.) Also siding door rattles at times. And if sitting idling in gear with running lights or what is called driving light which are automatically on they will flicker continuously. ( another thing they cant find). Fuel mileage is nothing like advertising says. Ours doing the math miles driven vrs gallons used will alot of the times be 16 to 17. Never seen it even close to what the dash says. 25.xx miles per gallon. Yes they will warranty it but they keep telling us its normal operations. My advice dont buy one. Ours has been and still is nothing but a major headache and disappointment.

Transmission went out at about 6,000 miles
Love the van the transmission they make in these vans are trash ! I had this van about 5 months and I don’t drive it that often. Only to work really. I did drive it on vacation. But transmission shouldn’t of went out at 6,000 miles. The van had one other owner.

Not Enough Stow N Go or Milage
I was asked why we decided not to purchase the 2017 Dodge Caravan (Base Model). While the wife loved it, I found fault with the mid-row seats that did NOT Stow N Go (a feature that drew us to look at Caravans. We actually looked at and drove a new 2016 that was priced around 20K 'out the door.'I also found the gas mileage a bit disappointing - apparently these minivans are larger and heavier than I thought. Replacing our Hyundai sedan would have significantly increased our operating costs. And, of course, you never get the the mileage shown on the stickers!
Almost 200k
Purchased at 140k miles Almost at 200k now Transmission replaced at 170k (I bought the extended warranty which covered brand new transmission from dodge 3700$) which was well worth it considering the warranty was 2000$ I’d advise buying used. I would never pay msrp for this vehicle. Good on gas considering it seats 7. Shakes with just a little wind at highway speeds.
