Purchased used with 34k in 2009, I have a 06 Dodge Stratus and it's the best car I have ever owned. Where do I start, engine is doggy and slow to pick up, bad gas mileage, no rear leg room, plastic on seats by seat belts broke, developed a lifter tap at start up (60k miles) even with proper oil changes, brain went at 70k ($1,200) can't keep rotors on it, drivers door does not seal can't hear yourself think over 40 mph, if I lock it into 4X4 it binds klunks and moans, when I take it out gas mileage drops significantly and it pulls to the right for 2 or 3 days (since day 1), now at 101k the check engine light comes on then goes off but no codes, squeaky front end, I could go on and on.

I love my Durango. It gets much better fuel economy than my previous SUVs (a Tahoe and an older model Durango) The ride is great and the stereo system is awesome! You also have great acceleration and the engine even sounds cool. Everytime someone drives it they go on and on about how much they like it. I have the DVD system with headphones also and that works great!

With the 5.7 HEMI you will have plenty of power. We get an average of 16-18 MPG city and 19-22mpg highway (cruising). This is one of the safest cars feeling cars I've driven in a long time.Still feel that this was a very smart purchase.

Bought the Durango used nearly 3 yrs ago and initially had several minor issues with some trim pieces. However, mechanically it's been nearly perfect and very reliable. Great tow vehicle and good for family of 6. Not quite as large as Expedition or Tahoe but much less expensive, tows as much or more (I've got the HEMI) and drives much better - especially in the city. Mileage also hasn't been bad as expected. I consistently average 15.5 to 16.0 combined and easily achieve 20- 22 on the highway cruising 80. Not the prettiest vehicle out there but one to seriously consider if buying used. NEVER buy one of these big SUV's new - you'd be throwing $1000's out the window for no reason!

I bought a 05 Black limited 4x4 with the Hemi 94k miles. The person prior took extremely good care of the vehicle. It runs perfect in every way and is very quiet for such a big motor. The tranny is silky smooth. Gas mileage in town is 16 mpg and on the freeway is 21-22 cruising at 75. The ride is good but not great, handling is the same. Infinity sound system is fantastic. The seats are comfortable during long trips etc. Towing is great and the vehicle is very stable on the road at all times. The drivers seat plastic has cracked just like all the rest, not a big deal, but annoying. Other than that, I love this truck. Pictures do not do it justice, go drive one and you will likely buy it.
