gas gauge sticks at "full" then drops to below empty. Dealer says dirt in gas. First American car in 25 years; funny all those imports used same variety of gas without this problem. Clutch goes right to floor without resistance. Stranded on interstate vehicle trucked to dealer. Slave valve worked loose & dropped into transmission. First time dealer ever saw this. 25 years of imports with manual transmissions; never even had a clutch adjustment. Will not buy an American car again. This was a mistake, but thought US quality had improved. Now I can't even trade it as Chrsyler has cut the cost of 05s. Do not buy a PT cruiser.

Poor design for the front bumper

I just love the car....but the front bumper keeps bottoming out. I am tired of replacing it and being told there is nothing that can be done about the low profile. I am really surprised that there seems to be little concern from other owners about this problem.

PT Cruiser's Where To Be

2nd one; 102,000 miles on the first, no problems; great fun to drive; clubs to join, events to participate in; hauling space with fold down seats, and removeable seats offer excellent utility, often better than SUV's. 120 sq feet of usable space.

Great smooth ride. Plenty of interior room. Mileage could be better. Great classic look. Gets lots of attention. Dealership was great. No high pressure tacticts. My sister just bought herself a PT Cruiser based upon my recommendation.

I've been exited about my PT Cruiser before I even purchased. After purchasing I have experienced nothing more but pure enjoyment with comfort, ride and dependability. I cannot stop loving the Classic look of the PT Cruiser and I still enjoy the looks I get from other people while sporting my car. I purchased the top of the line the PT Cruiser Limited Edition in Cranbury, with top of line "wheels" as well, and I have received many, many compliments about what a "nice" car it is!! I'm very happy although I must say.... I enjoy putting the kids in the back seat with the tinted windows and no one can see in. I enjoy people asking me about my PT Cruiser. My mother loves my PT Cruiser!!!!!!!!!!!
