2020 Chrysler Pacifica Red S 4dr Minivan (3.6L 6cyl 9A)

Nearly perfect. I traded in my 2018 Pacifica Limited for the Red "S" Limited edition. I personally like the red seats! I use mine for business and rarely carry more than one passenger. More apparent room and far more flexibility than any other minivan from what I saw. I didn't look at published specs to bear that out but it seems to be the case. Stow and Go seating is worth the price of admission. All seats aft of the driver row fold to an almost cargo van flat. The third row is electricI took one star off because there is still some occasional glitchyness in the transmission although it is vastly improved from my 2018. Downshifts under moderate load with light throttle at 60+mph are a bit harsh particularly with cruise on a slight grade. Seems to be happening when downshifting out of OD. Cruise control and steering are much improved. Steering feel is more precise with a comfortable feel on center. Radar cruise is very smooth and reliable. Seats are more adjustable and VERY comfortable. The Limited "S" edition has the 20" wheels which not only look nice but add a much needed improvement in the ride and handling. The ride is firmer without being harsh. The larger wheels seem to take bumps much better. Overall the interior is quieter. I didn't go AWD because in MD the roads are clear 98% of the time. Hybrid would have been nice but you lose the Stow and Go. I still think the minivan is a much better option than a large SUV. This is a very comfortable and competent highway cruiser. Unbelievably, Chrysler seems to have pretty much nailed it. I guess the (former) partnership with Mercedes taught them a few things. ***Update After nearly 40K miles (16 months) no issues other than the harsh downshifts under throttle. The dealer (Fred Frederick) was very accommodating throughout my ownership and did their best to fix the problem, even replacing the throttle body. But alas, only temporary improvement. I had to trade it in because now I need a vehicle to tow stuff. Something to beware of though with nearly 40K miles (38,8xx) Carmax wouldn't even buy it. Even though it was dealer maintained and in tip top condition. I had to trade it and got hammered. ***

I have a Chrysler Pacifica Limited. It's had one issue after another. Electrical issues, infotainment screen freezing, fuel pump failed, issues with sliding doors, and the latest is the compressor on the A/C is bad. It's unbelievable how many times I've had to take it to the dealership for repairs. I love this van as far as the interior features and comfort but it has not been reliable and I've spent hours taking it on for repairs.

Many problems especially hard shifts

The transmission on the Pacifica is awful. Hard shifts (and I mean really hard!) are common occurrences and started while it was new. Problems with the electrical system and the automatic doors not closing correctly. My first and last Chrysler.

I purchased a 2020 Limited in September of 2020. It is now August of 2021 and Chrysler has sent me an offer to buy back the vehicle after months of my requests that they do so. Problems have included poor electric range, terrible whining and straining sounds, the check engine light coming on when I was 700+ miles from home (prompting Chrysler reps to direct me to leave the vehicle at a rural service center and rent a car to drive home with my two large dogs and belongings), defroster fogging up windows while driving on freeway (has happened multiple times), while driving getting an alarm claiming no hands detected on steering wheel (when both hands were def on the wheel), vehicle auto starting in driveway and getting excessively hot on driver seat floor and on dash though climate was off...the list goes on. I paid a premium for the top trim to have all the safety features. I had researched this vehicle for months, and was really excited about owning it. Many of the features are great, but none of them matter when you can't use the vehicle. Chrysler has been a nightmare to deal with despite this van going to the shop more than 3 times since purchased brand new. I had to fight with them to pay for my rental car when they told me to leave it 700 miles from home. Ruined my trip. I wish this vehicle worked as promised, but it does not. And even worse, Chrysler service centers don't know how to fix anything on it. They will scan for codes and if they don't get a code, or get one they don't understand, they'll simply clear it out of the system and tell you everything is fine if the code doesn't return immediately. My vehicle has been in a service center for diagnostics and/or repairs for approximately 1 month out of the 10.5 months I've owned it. And I have put less than 4k miles on it. It was in the shop for 3 weeks at approximately 1700 miles. I regret buying this vehicle. It's a fantastic concept but it has been poorly executed.

This is our fourth Chrysler Corp van, and to my knowledge, still the only one that has Stow 'n Go seating, allowing a completely flat floor, at floor level, without removing seats. And now it's easier than ever to convert from a comfortable 7 passenger van with good baggage capability, to an easy to load panel truck. This is a very versatile vehicle. Only problem is it's so nicely appointed you don't want to get it dirty or banged up by hauling stuff! The new one is quiet, easy to drive, comfortable, and as stylish as any other van. You can get it with all the same toys available on much more expensive cars. I'm pretty sure this will be another "keeper!"

Researched all the minivans. Owned an older Odyssey spans and liked it. Couldn’t get away from all the Pacifica’s features and good reviews. Got it a month ago and the more I drive it the more I like it. It’s got good power, comfortable, quiet, and many, many features. The 9 speed tranny’s fine so far, smooth. If you’re on the fence get it you’ll like it. Touring L “S” with advanced safety tec

2nd Pacifica and we love it even more

We replaced our leased 2017 Pacifica with a 2020 Pacifica. We liked our 2017 very much but it had several widely documented annoyances (e.g. lack of carplay, backup camera/infotainment display too dim, etc). The 2018 and newer models fixed these annoyances - I guess that's the problem of getting a 1st model year car. The 2 cars are 95% the same, but these updates and other minor improvements made the 2020 even better. We had no issues w our 2017 except for a handful of recalls, which were annoying. Hopefully the 2020 will be as reliable. I actually wanted to get a hybrid version, but b/c of production delay and the timing of our lease expiration, we were forced to get another gas version. We had previously leased a 2014 Odyssey, which was an OK car. We also looked into a 2020 Odyssey. Each has its virtues, but we felt the Pacifica fits our needs better. Even though we have other luxury cars in the family, I would usually prefer driving the Pacifica as it's just so functional as a family vehicle.

Nice car, terrible cruise control

After numerous problems with the cruise control we went back to the dealership. They sent me on the road to see if the problem could be reproduced. The tech directed me to hill representative of the ones we were having problems with. At 40 mph and going downhill, the vehicle rmp advanced to over 3k finally went into free fall. At 55 mph, the tech said "go ahead and put the break on; it shouldn't be doing this!" Well later in the day, a call from the dealership said that the car was performing as engineered and there was no fix available. This has been an issue for the past several. Years with their 9 speed transmission. " Nearly 40 k for a car with a cruise control inferior to my 17 year old F 150! So many features to love in this vehicle but I consider this a safety issue that precludes me from recommending this car from any one I care about. Also, I completed a review from Chrysler regarding my purchase and never heard back from them. Wish I could recommend this car but I just can't.

Purchased new in October 2020, noticed that the vehicle was overheating shortly after purchasing it. Took it to the dealer and there was a manufacturing defect in both the radiator and ac condenser, causing small leaks. Dealer replaced both under warranty. The auto on/ off feature then began failing randomly with the warning light coming on several times a week. Dealer could not duplicate problem. The next issue was the transmission. Approximately 8 months into ownership (8000 miles)the transmission began shifting hard. A service shifter notification would sometimes display. The shifting quickly grew much harsher so it took another trip to the dealer. The dealer checked the TCM and stated they could not duplicate the issue, thiugh there was an error code for the TCM losing communication. Transmission was shifting extremely hard and actually completely disengaged for about 5 seconds during the trip home. I was now concerned for the safety of my family and no longer trusted the vehicle. Though I still had plenty of warranty left I was already growing tired of continued trips to the dealer and their inability to ameliorate the vans issues. I made the decision to trade it in on a new 2021 Sienna and thankfully the used car market is crazy so the trade in value ended up being the same as the purchase price when I bought it. The van was comfortable and the stow and go seats were extremely convenient though the van had far too many reliability issues for a new vehicle.

Get vehicle with a lousy transmission

This is my second Chrysler Pacifica period the proof was a 2017 and my current one is a 2020. Obviously I like the vehicle enough to buy two of them however I continue to be terribly disappointed with the clunky transmission. Unfortunately I thought they would’ve corrected this after three years of production but I was wrong. Unfortunately I thought they would’ve corrected this after three years of production but I was wrong I will probably keep it For two more years but I will be hitting the transmission the whole time. It’s a shame they are not able to correct this because the vehicle is so good in every other way
