Used 2005 Chrysler Pacifica Wagon Consumer Reviews
Picked Pacifica over Freestyle
Overhead DVD option is grossly overpriced at $1500. Same for in dash GPS. Avoid these options. Excellent vehicle for hauling the kids and dog to all of their activities. We looked at the Ford Freestyle also and chose Pacifica.
I love my pacifica
I love my pacifica, it handels the snow better than my husbands suburban. A little small for large families, i only have two children.

Safe! Safe! Safe!
I bought this car on July 29th and on August 5th someone was in a right turn only lane and merged left going 45mph into my brand new car! After the initial shock wore off and I looked at the car, it looked horrible on the outside but IF my girls would have been with me they wouldn't have been touched! The support in the doors are awesome! I was glad to see that whoever might have been in the back would have been fine and let me tell you, the impact was enough to spin me twice! I rate (for safety) it a 10!
I love my car!
I did a lot of research before buying my 2005 Pacifica. I have never been so happy with a vehicle purchase. The Pacifica is great for my family and it's fun to drive. The kids love it. It drives smooth and so far seems very reliable. There were a couple of glitches at first..the back window switch had the window going down when I started the ignition, and the engine tension pully was squealing. All was fixed though. Overall I love my car.
Never thought I'd own a Chrysler
I saw the Pacifica while on a nothing to do on Saruraday trip through the local dealership. Interesting design I thought. After a test drive and some research I was sold. I have owned and rented many cars in my time and this is the best vehicle I have driven. I have had it for 10 months and still get that "can't wait to drive it" feeling.
Breakdown
I started my trip from texas and brokedown in ind., With a grinding in the right front wheel. The dealer said that i should not be driving the car, with 3000 miles on it. They gave me a rental but was without the car for three days because they had to order the whole front wheel. We also had water dripping on my wifes foot from the air. Cond. They replaced the filter and filter door. It is still leaking with 9,000 miles and the dealer said that i should change the temp. In the car to correct the problem? We also had an emissions pump go bad with 8,000 miles and had to spend four hours at the dealers waiting for them to get the part from some other dealer.
Awesome vehicle; good price!
I had no interest in the Pacifica; had heard nothing about it; wanted a Subaru....then I got inside...and then took it for a ride...It won me over! I needed some hauling space, but also wanted comfort for people riding in the back seat...and we even have a comfortable and usable 3rd row seat! Plenty of leg and seat room (for shorter adults, and still enough room in the trunk area for a cooler and some gear for 6 people. Excellent ride comfort; good for cruising the highway and it handles well on back roads. Fun to drive, comfortable, great looking interior, and AWD...hard to beat! Chrysler, who'da thunk it?
ABS a problem
I also am having problems with the ABS brake system. The car only has 38,000 miles and the ABS brake system is failing. I've already had worn out tire rods replaced and the electronic drivers side seat failed. I am regretting purchasing this car. It is too new to be having these problems.
My wife & I both have 2005 Pacifica's.
My wife & I leased two '05 Chrysler Pacifica's in Feb. 2005. My wifes car is FWD and mine is AWD. Both are Touring Models. The cars are fun to drive. They hold the road well in all weather conditions. They drive more like a car than a Suv or Mini-Van. I feel my AWD model is a little underpowered off the line, but it does well in passing situations on the highway. My wife and I both have approximately 8,000-9,000 miles on our cars. Her FWD model is doing much better on gas than my AWD model. My wife is averaging 18.9 mpg combined city/hwy. As were I'm only averaging 13.5 city/hwy. Both cars have been in the shop for a safety recalls. My AWD model had control module replaced affecting the A/C
Looks Great and Fun to Drive
It was love at first site. Once we purchased it, we hadn't any regrets. The Pacifica is a great vehicle. We've had it for eight months without a problem. It is really something to look at, as well as something to drive.
