Buy a Lincoln TownCar instead
I bought a ‘95 back in 2000 for $14,500.00 with only 50k kms on it from a mature lady. It served me well for 3-5 years but soon after I had problems all over. 1) The steering column was off and had the steering alignment done several times and was never corrected. 2) Weather stripping for the doors were horrible as they were coming apart. 3) The computer needed replacement but Chrysler didn’t want to get me one. 4) It wouldn’t start in winter. 5) When going for a couple hour drive with 3 passengers and some luggage the engine would overheat which is ridiculous for a V6 166 horsepower engine. 6) Exterior decals/styling parts would start to fall off. 7) Prone to rusting even though I wash it every week. That’s just about it for mechanical problems. It’s crazy now that I think about it that a V6 mid-size car has the same fuel consumption as a V8 full-size Lincoln TownCar that I recently bought and the Lincoln is a ‘07 model! In-line 6 and V8 engine’s last longer than V6 engine’s anyway. The interior material is horrible for the price I paid for. I never stalled with a Chrysler Concorde but not starting in winter was a big inconvenience for me. There was a big lag of acceleration even while on the hwy as well as from a start. I liked how the front end was longer than most at the time, good for crush space. It had a moderate sized trunk. It didn’t have any struts when I bought it but put one in a year or two prior to selling. Every car should have struts for the front hood. Their cheap at a Auto Wrecker. I’ll never buy a Chrysler or even anything GM related again. Bad product.

A Car to Grow Old With
Excellent car with all the creature comforts. I have the LXi (3.5l, leather, etc...). Smooth ride, easy handling, loads of room, a joy to drive! A little noisy in the cabin, but not bad.

A Fine automobile to drive
We have enjoyed this automobile and it has been very reasonable to own. This is a plus in todays costs for repairs.
Watch out over 100K
Good car up to about 100K miles. Had numerous nagging and expensive issues starting at 90K miles. Air conditioning issues abound with a very expensive climate control panel failure. Front end problems resulting in numerous repairs but none prohibitively expensive. Car is fun to drive and handles well with more road noise than expected from this size vehicle.
Just not for me?
I have had my Concord for almost a yr now. My dad bought it for me it hopes it would be a good school car. The first night I had it, it had an oil leak my dad easily fixed it. I like it but it's not the greatest on gas. And it's a little big for me. Other wise great car. I just need something more fuel economy because I will be driving a lot because of college.
