After driving a Chevy Blazer for fifteen yrs GM has a hit with the Trailblazer . Gas mileage on the second tank of gas was 19.44 mpg that was with the fourwheel drive used for about 100 miles and a combo of city and hwy driving . I expect more when strictly hwy. The four wheel drive system is nice and when activated hardly notice it shifting in four wheel. I drive in Colorado and felt very good and safe on the snow and ice . Had a hard time making the wheels slip when in four wheel drive evan in ice packed corners. Down side, an air leak at door seal that is annoying, will take to dealer to fix

Owning the Chevy Trailblazer has been very fun. This vehicle is very reliable and for having a six cylinder engine it is pretty fast and strong. The accelaration is very quick and you could feel the power of the engine as you step on the gas pedal. I feel that this vehicle is safe and comfortable for me and my family.

Gets 22.5 on the hiway in 2wd. Did not use 4wd yet, You ride in comfort and security with the OnStar and a 6 cyl eng that you don't hear it run. Very solid and I love to drive it.

By far this is one of the few midsize SUV's that actually comes close to what it is supposed to do. The interior is actually roomy, I am 6'2" and I fit more comfortable in this truck than in my Silverado. I do have only one complaint, it is the weather strip for the rear passenger door that just won't stay in place. The sound system is actually pretty decent. The combination of colors for the interior are awesome. I have had my good share of vehicles, I am very satisfied with this particular one.

Overall I am extremely satisfied with my TrailBlazer. I think there are a few improvements that could be made to better accomodate the driver and passengers but I am sure that Chevrolet will work out the kinks in years to come. Hopefully Chevrolet will find a way to increase the fuel economy on the TrailBlazer. This is my biggest complaint.

This SUV handles great and will tow heavy loads with no problem. We have taken a long trip with 7 passengers comfortably. The seats fold flat easily and the ride is great. The gas mileage is its weak point 17mpg but we knew that before we bought it.

I purchased a 2005 TrailBlazer LS 4WD three months ago with 7000 miles on the odometer. No problems; everything works as it should. Living and driving in Chicago, it's a perfect SUV (for me) for this terrain. Excellent visibility, super-tight turning radius, and it surpresses all of those rough roads and pot holes with ease. Great power from the 4.2L inline six cylinder (almost 300hp) and experienced 17.5 mpg around the city and 21.5 on the highway. No drifting has been experienced at highway speeds. The TrailBlazer has been around for awhile and has a proven design that works well for most.

Best riding SUV we tested- solid feel and handling - avg 17mpg Just took a road trip and got 21mpg on hwy. Tows heavy trailer with 2 yards of dirt with no strain. So far no mechanical issues.

I owned my Trailblazer for almost 2 years. Bought it used with 15000 miles on it. I'm shocked by the negative reviews on other Trailblazers because mine was great, except for the gas mileage. It started out at 17 mpg, later was getting 14 mpg. As much as I hated to, I decided to trade it for a Hyundai Tuscan so I could get better gas mileage. When I traded, it had 35000 miles on it. Other than it being in the shop a few times right after I got it, to replace a window motor and radio (which were covered under warranty) I never had any other problems. I wish that Chevrolet had made the Trailblazer get the same gas mileage as my Tuscan. I'd still be driving it

At first I worried about buying American due to the fact of poor reliability. I'm going on 2 yrs with this truck, and it has performed perfectly. I have about 18,000 miles on it with no issues. It is great in the winter. It gets you through anything without a problem. The ride is soft, so it does wallow a little bit, but overall has a nice ride.

A wonderful, comfortable, safe vehicle. We have found this TrailBlazer to be very sure footed on slick roads. All wheel drive is very easy to use with a flick of a switch or just leave in "Auto". The running gear is solid and dependable. Unlike other SUV's from Asia, you can actually fill the seats and not exceed the maximum gross weight. This TrailBlazer is very quiet on the road. At 65 miles per hour, you can whisper to the person next to you. We have never had a problem with our TrailBlazers as this is our second!

I own a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS 4x4, purchased it in February 2006 with around 11,000 miles on it. Since I've owned the vehicle, I've already replaced the rotors. The rubber molding trim around the back doors comes through when the doors are shut. The black plastic molding around the front driver side door handle keeps falling off- local Chevrolet dealership fixed it and it fell off again. The front passenger seat molding around the bottom of the seat is loose. The glove compartment will completely fall out onto the floor from time to time. Overall this vehicle was made cheap and I'll never buy another one. I'm looking into trading for a Toyota 4Runner.

What a great make by GM. I has a proud driver of the TrailBlazer. Don't get me wrong, there are some kinks to work out. But they are all minor. Other than that this is a brilliant car. Fun to drive. I'm 6'2" and it was hard to find a car that I was comfortable in.

Tranny went out at 30K miles. Gm put band-aids on & would not replace it. I am very disgusted w/GM service. Never again. Trailblazer is worse than most on retaining value. I am in the tank on this one & still bought it 8K under list price. For an LT the stereo sucks.Rear leg room not much. Better to spend the money on a used Tahoe.Mileage is no different. Handles terrible and wind noise is the worse I have ever seen. Not reccomended by me to buy one.

Bought a 2005 Trailblazer used with 20k miles on it. My wife mostly drives it. We absolutely love it. I love the Inline 6 it has plenty of power to pull my motorcycle trailer with 2 motorcycles. We have taken it on several trips and it is very comfortable. I replaced the factory stereo with an aftermarket unit as the factory radio is not the best. That would probably be my only complaint. One other complaint I suppose would be the oil filter location. I am a DIY kinda guy and do my own oil changes. The filter is a real pain to get to. Other than that I love this SUV. And the factory tires are not the best.

I finally got rid of my 1999 GMC Jimmy money-pit and traded up to this Trailblazer two days ago. Almost immediately I had to drive in an ice storm and was very pleased about the handling and performance. Ride is very smooth, mileage is what one should expect for an SUV. Plenty of room for cargo, love the sunroof and other features. So far, so good!

I have had my '05 trailblazer for almost 2 years and nothing but problems! Aside from all the mechanical problems, the wind noise around the Windows is terrible, gas mileage is less than the sticker says, interior is made very cheap, inside of the rear doors are rusting, rear wiper hinge has broke many times, tires wear unevenly. I've always had a Chevy but never again! My advice is don't but a trailblazer! Oh and their trade in value is terrible!

I didn't care about the poor fuel mileage of this hog at the time of purchase, but boy is it bad now that fuel is $3.50 a gallon! The navigation system is also a joke. You can't use it without the disk which by the way cost $500+ and it is outdated. Want updates?, Buy a new disk at the $500+ price. In my opinion, there are much better choices out there then this vehicle - Don't waste your money on it.

My wife always wanted one so when they were cheap in 2005, I finally agreed, even though I knew deep down it would be a mistake to buy another truck. It drinks up gas like there's no tomorrow. Resale value is poor. Other than that, it looks nice, it drives nice, it has plenty of power, lots of cargo space with seats down. It's good at what it does. We've had problems with steering - fixed under warranty. I wish we leased it rather than bought it so we could be done with it. 12-13 mpg around town on a really good day. 10-11 is typical. On the hwy 18-20. We had a '95 Suburban that got the same mileage. Think twice before you buy!

The Good, Bad, and Mean looking

The GOOD: Love the styling, even on the interior, its not high tech or futuristic, it is practical. It has the power when you need it. The BAD: I bought the extended warranty and 3 months after I bought it I had to replace the engine, cylinder lost compression and it was idling rough. I spoke with the Enterprise rental guys and they told me the Trailblazer was the vehicle they saw come in for warranty service the most. Enough said there. Road noise is bad because of bad fit for the windows and therefore leaks into the door panels. my speakers were corroded and I had to replace them. I had to replace the water pump. Bottom line, a good style design needs to be backed up by a reliable design

I have only had my Trailblazer for 3 weeks now but I really love it. The ride is really nice and the handling is very good (I own a 92 B4C camaro) and I am very happy with this. I would like to see Chevy put in better seats, the stock seats are a little soft and are not as good as they could be. The Sun and Sound system is great and the gas mileage is good at 20 avg even with the 373 gears.

Only have a 1000 miles on it, but boy its a nice ride so far. Really like the traction control/AWD/limited-4wd feature on the 4wd, perfect for those days the roads have scattered slippery spots, but not bad enough to use the full 4wd part. Very nice riding for a large SUV. The Vortec 4200 has plenty of power to get up & go.

Purchased TB to replace an '02 Explorer (first and absolutely last Ford). Pleasure to drive, good performance, good reliability. Lots of wind noise. Not much storage up front. Seats could fold down easier with more room (they hit the front seats). Seat belts aren't the most comfortable, and hard to reach. Love the heated leather, stereo, sunroof, driver info center. Gas mileage could be better. Cup holder locations aren't very convenient. Great ride, though, and Chevy reliability is the best, especially after owning a Ford.

Excellent overall vehicle. I drive fairly gently, obey speed limits, and use cruise control. 22.5 mpg hwy and 17.5 mpg city. When wanted, great power from the inline 6 cyl (275 hp). Fantastic brakes! Super-tight turning radius... Made driving/parking in chicago a breeze. I bought used with 7k mi 3/06; now has 39.5k mi... Absolutely no problems. 4wd works well... several excursions beach driving at Outer Banks, NC without problems (deflate tires to 15-20psi). I suggest changing OEM tires from Goodyears. I installed Michelin LTX tires and handling, ride, and offroad greatly improved! Outstanding everyday vehicle, in my opinion.

I purchased my TrailBlazer used, it drives and looks great, lots of wind noise until I put on wind deflectors from wal-mart to keep the rain off the door electronics. I had serious noise in 4wd and was told it was from dry pavement.now the front def. has to be replaced and GM has offered 25% of a $5,000 bill that can be done elsewhere for $2,000 a 12 labour charge because of a very poor design. I have had to replace the rotors and pads, tie-rod ends at 60,000K. The seat skirts have to be repaired. Kept loosing antifreeze, GM replaced the Head gasket to stop the leak. No wonder GM is a sinking ship. Tires need to be replaced now at 70,000K.
