Happy when it works
I really enjoy driving it when it is not having problems. It is a company car that gets every dealership recommended service and oil changes at 3K miles; however, there have been several recalls, transmission failure at 38K miles, 4wd went out, electrical issues that impacted tail light, air conditioning and rear wiper, horrible noise when turning sharply in 4wd that had to be fixed, parking break stopped working. Though I enjoy driving it, I am reluctant to buy another one for fear of spending several times a year at the dealership.
Great but needs forgiveness
Overall I love this vehicle... except for the build quality... I had to have the engine replaced at 9500 miles... dealer said there was a gouge in the 5th piston sleeve... plus there have been some other smaller things... "other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?" it has run great since the replacement though...

2002 Trailbalzer LS
It is a nice truck , The new 4.2 Inline 6 delivers plenty of power, It has a very smooth ride , Truck handles great in the snow . A lot of SUV for the money !! Highly recommended , It's not up to Toyota or Honda quality yet but GM has seem to come a long way !!
Vibration @ ~60mph
Like others, I also have the vibration that occurs around 60mph that can be felt through the accelerator pedal. I brought it in this morning and the service dept. called GM Tech Service. The service consultant told me that GM was aware of this and that it had something to do with the firing impulses. I didn't get into the details. Bottom line, the service dept. couldn't do anything right now but said that hopefully in the near future GM will have a fix.
Trailblazer has Blind Spots
I love driving my Trailblazer. It is very comfortable. However, it has a definite blind spot at the rear. If you turn off the radio, the noise level from the outside is noticeable. I have had to replace rear brake/taillights repeatedly and now the a/c fan isn't working unless I put it on #4. Little things, but annoying nonetheless. Gas guzzler at times. Thinking about selling it at this point.
