p
I love my Chevy Suburban. It gets me where I need to go. Not as fast as my 1991 GMC Syclone, though.
EXCEPTIONALLY NICE TRUCK
I'VE DRIVEN THIS SUBURBAN FOR 27,000 MILES AND NOT A SQUEAK OR A PROBLEM. VERY SMOOTH, VERY POWERFUL, VERY COMFORTABLE. I CARRY FIVE TO EIGHT PEOPLE AND ALL ARE HAPPY -- MUCH QUIETER INSIDE THAN HONDA MINIVAN I'VE DRIVEN. VERY EASY TO DRIVE, CONSIDERING LARGE SIZE, BUT SIGHTLINES ARE GOOD. MILAGE? I GET 17 TO 18 ON THE HIGHWAY AND NEVER LESS THAN 15.5 IN CITY. PULLING TRAILER AT 80 MPH IN MOUNTAINS I WAS GETTING 17 MPG. NO KIDDING. I THINK THAT'S PRETTY GOOD, CONSIDERING THE THING IS HUGE. MY OLD VW VAN ONLY GOT ABOUT 15 MPG, AND THAT HAD A 60 HP MOTOR AND COULDN'T GO
2004 Suburban 2500
I bought this vehicle because I tow a travel trailer and my Expree 1500 wasn't cutting the mustard. This baby trailers with no problems. Rock solid and powerful, the 2500 with the 6L V8 is great!
Only the best
The size, and the style with the ease of driving and also the comfort. The LT is what I'm referring to. I love this "burb"
love my Z71
Great family vehicle. Rides very smooth, fits all kids and their friends, great ride on the highway. For a large vehicle it is very easy to park and parallel park. Feel very safe it it.
I love my truck!
Have been a fan of Suburbans for 30 or so years. Bought 98 LT, loved it!!! Just traded up to an 04 LT (fully loaded) - boy what a ride!
03 Chevy Z71 Suburban
My 4th one. It doesn't get any better. Vacations are a breeze. Barn doors make loading easier than hatchback and increase capacity. Almsot drives itself down the road. Easy to have a heavy foot.
DEPENDABLE
THIS IS MY 12TH SUBURBAN I HAVE PURCHASED. I FIRST STARTED DRIVING SUBURBAN'S WHEN WE STARTED A FAMILY AND HAD SMALL CHILDREN. BUT AS OUR CHILDREN GREW UP AND HAD FAMILIES OF THEIR OWN I CONTINUED TO DRIVE A SUBURBAN. FOR OUR LIFESTYLE THEY ARE PERFECT AND ALWAYS VERY DEPENDABLE. AT ONE POINT BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I WERE BOTH DRIVING SUBURBANS. NOW OUR GROWN CHILDREN ARE DRIVING SUBURBAN'S FOR THEIR FAMILIES.
my suburban
if you are looking for a suv with room power, comfort, and reliability this is for you.10 below or 100 it doesnt make a difference, everyone will love it. smooth comfortable ride for your family. ill be sure to get another suburban the next time im buying a suv.
best suburban yet
Thus is our 4th suburban. Everything I ever wanted in the way of improving the previous models has been implemented in this model. The driver convienence features exceed anything anyone would have dreampt in a "Chevy". The gas mileage is up and the 5.3 engine is smooth as silk with an increase in horsepower, not to mention it has the same EPA rating as a Honda Civic (ULEV). I also would highly recommend the autoride suspension as it handles great with no bounce or jounce over bumps and sharp curves. The standard XM Radio is worthy of note as well as the standard On-Star system on my "LT" model
Surburbans are great, but....
We have had Suburbans for years and love them... However, the last two GMC vehicles have not had a locking golve box or center console. Makes it difficult when you must valet park... I contacted Gmc/Chevy regarding this change and they would not comment on why they made the change in options. But it is reason enough for us to change vehicles not time we purchase.
Luv my Subby
Our third Subby. Traded a '99 1500 LT for this new '04 also 1500 LT. A WORLD of difference. Rides much smoother and VERY MUCH quieter. This car gets up and GOES! Stops on a dime, too. No complaints about anything. 2nd Row buckets are great for the kids, keeps footprints off the seats and with three kids involved in all kinds of sports THAT is a good thing and well worth the money. And did I mention kids? They LOVE the DVD, even watch it for short rides.
our seventh suburban
what can i say...our seventh suburban.. the only vehicle that could "really" handle four kids, two parents, gear... and friends. our newest, the "z" is sportier...but just as reliable.the kids are growing and we are having a difficult time scaling down. we travel a lot and the third seat has come a very long way...but why not a 3rd seat option light?!?!?..we miss the movable head rests A LOT!!
Big beauty
First real truck I've owned. No comparison to my Ford Windstar. Good power, very comfortable, and not bad on gas considering size of truck and engine. Rides smoother than a Lincoln. NICE RIDE
All I Wanted
Great power/ Towing and plently or room.
Excellent
The best truck on the market. You can fit comfortably with 7/8 passengers. This is the perfect family car for the value.
gave up an Expedition and good choice
I gave up a Expedition and I think I made a wise choice.
AZSUB
Very comfortable! We tow our ATV's and a good size trailer. The 5.3L does okay, the 6.0L would be preferred. The gas mileage difference is minor between the 2. If you have a large family, this vehicle will accomodate everyone with comfort!
Great Value, Sharp...
My 3rd Suburban....so you get the point. Great family hauler, handsome design (exterior), nice options / extras..like DVD & Roof Combo - finally! Nice lines, excellent power...fun to drive. 2nd Row Buckets a plus!
Z-71 Surburban --Exceptional
Without a doubt, the most functional vehicle I have ever owned. In fact, we liked it so much, 3 days after purchasing this vehicle, we purchased another one exctly like it for my wife.
Very Pleased
Very pleased with the performance so far. Seats are comfortable. This is our first SUV and we love it. Our experience in purchasing this vehicle was the best so far,the dealer knocked off $7500 off the MSRP and a $5000 rebate from GM sealed the deal.
Great Ride!
Just bought my first Suburban. Love the Z-71 features. The room is great after coming from a Camaro Z-28 Conv't.
SECOND ONE
THIS IS MY SECOND SUBURBAN. THE NEW I HAVE DRIVEN TWICE TO FLORIDA FROM IL. FOR THE WINTER AND IT IS A JOY TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY. I USE IT FOR BOTH BUSINESS AND PLEASURE.
This is my Fourth Suburban!
Having owned Chevy Suburbans since the 80's I tried to scale back to a large Car (Lincoln Continental) year I had to come back to a Suburban. There is no other vehicle out there that gives me as much for my money as Chevy does. Whether I have it full of family and friends or lumber, no other vehicle gives me such comfort, style and versitality.
travel anywhere
we go everywhere and anywhere with confidence. great family car!
Big Bad Daddy
Smooth and powerful luxury. I would not trade my Chevy machine for even a ride to the moon.
Oh What Fun!!!!
We chose the 2WD with locking differential and the resulting fuel economy is remarkable. I average nearly 18mg, just wish I would have opted for leather interior.
MY Suburban
The Surburban needed better handling. It already had 17" wheels and tires so I went to the "h" rated Michelin Pilot LTX and it made a world of difference. They keep the ride quiet but provide extra support when cornering
Best SUV
Great SUV, good styling, great comfort, tough truck chassis.
jeffs opinion
We have always wanted a Suburban and could not afford one. I think they are a bit too pricey. We have not had ours long enough to give it a fair ratiing. We have no complaints. We are still learning a few of the little features. It drives nice and is comfortable. We love the room. We have five children 3 are nearly grown.
Better than expected!
Great vehicle, smooth ride & very comfortable. Even gas mileage is better than expected @ over 15 mpg average(city). Great highway cruiser, quiet and terric tunes. Seats are very comfortable, I'm 11 inches taller than my wife & both have no problem getting comfy. Pretty good off the line, plenty of torque. Oh, dealer experience was better than Mercedes, much better (we have a 320e).
Not Bad but Not Good
All those people driving Suburbans, I thought there was something to them. Big, bulky, and horrible on Gas. One of the leather seats is cracking (not sure if they will replace), Stereo took 2 months to get fixed, make a lot of odd noises at odd time (clicking when A/C is on, Rubbing when using brakes) and paint job already showing problems.
BEST OF THE BEST
THIS IS THE BEST VECHILE I HAVE EVER OWNED. FEEL VERY SAFE IN THIS.
suburban review
I have 12000 miles on it now in 3 months and it has been perfect. Only problem I have had was the keyless entry had to be reprogrammed. It handles pretty well for a large SUV. Plenty of power for towing as we do have things to tow. If you need a lot of room for hauling or kids this is the vehicle. My job requires me to have a full load of cargo in this truck and I love all the room. I was headed for a tahoe and my wife talked me into the suburban and I now thank her for it.
my z
Great looking fun to drive lots of pep. It just needs some updates to the interior
Chevrolet Suburban
This vehicle is safe, reliable, and very fun to drive
Awesome!
Fantastic vehicle! This is a great road machine. Love the utility, comfort and power!
EXCELLENT
I HAVE OWNED MANY IMPORTS IN MY LIFE INCLUDEING THE NEWLY RELEASED SUV HONDA PILOT. THE FIT AND FINISH AND DRIVEABILITY OF THE SUBURBAN IS UNCOMPARABLY BETTER! THE INTERIOR ROOM, RELIABILITY AND GAS MILEAGE FAR EXCEED ANY IMPORT I HAVE RESERCHED AND OWNED.
First, But Not The Last...
This is our first Suburban, but I'm sure it will not be our last, I don't really see us driving anything else in the future, if we ever trade it in it will just be on a newer model...
The Ultimate Family Transport
I was never a proponent of the "BIG SUV", but needed the room and comfort for our family of 5 making monthly trips between Long Island and Boston. Excellent handling, great drivability, roomy, comfortable, quiet, real 3rd row seating, excellent cargo capacity, did I mention roomy? And surprisingly easy to park. It doesn't get much better than this for family transportation. GM has a real winner in the Suburban - keep it up!
My Suburban
I have to say that the Chevy Suburban is an all around good SUV. The Options package I have is the "Ducks Unlimited". Had a lot of small problems in the beginning like the locks kept popping out of place, and service engine soon light kept coming on. But overall, is a great SUV. Of course it's a gas hog. But.......
" Best Damn Truck Ever"
Just wanted to lEt you know I love the "GMC SUBURBAN" brought one two years ago, was not brand new but runs like new. Perfect on the Highway.
The Big Truck Keeps Rolling
If your looking for a people over and a cargo hauler this is the truck for you. Performace is great and I can't get over the Gas Milage for such a big truck. 12 City / 16.0 HWY Totaly Awesome!
chevy suburban
i think the suburban is great. it is the most comfy car i have ever sat in.
It's great.
We've had nearly 6 Suburbans and this is by far the best one we've ever had the privilege of driving.
Nice SUV
No problms to date. Nice ride as compared to the Expedition. looks great with 20's!
Suburban
We bought our first Tahoe in 1996 and have upgraded twice to better Suburbans. One in 1997 and just recently. The brakes have been a problem in the past but now seem to have that fixed in the newer Suburban. That was the only thing I didn't like about drivng the Suburban and Tahoe were the unreliable brakes.
way to go!
This is the one I've always wanted and I'm glad it's the 2004. Nice sound system and interior! The ride is very impressive also. I feel like buying something big to haul just because I own a Suburban. No regrets!
