Great truck!
I previously had a 2019 GMC 1500 Sierra X31. Too many issues (rear end, transmission etc.) So I ended up trading up for a 2023 Chevy Silverado z71 2500hd Duramax Diesel (Midnight Edition). Man I love this truck! My only gripe is it should come with a front end camera as standard (although I have sensors forward and rear) so you can't see (hood) when pulling into a parking spot and the A pillar and mirrors have really bad blind spots. You really have to keep your head on a swivel in areas with pedestrian traffic around. Other than that it's really good reliable truck. I have towed with it and you won't feel a thing while towing. Looking forward to having a 5th wheel setup in the near future...

Not for towing
This truck when loaded with a double axle trailer likes to wander and does not feel stable. The 6.6 seems to be under powered. Checked tires and they were inflated to 70 PSI. Not recommended for towing. My 2001 f250 with 6.8 feels more secure pulling the same trailer

Glad I bought it
Im a long term RAM/ Jeep owner, but I decided to check out the new Silverado and I'm glad I did. I purchased a new LTZ with the 6.6 gas engine, and I've been nothing but impressed. The cabin is roomy and stylish, and I really like the layout of the 13.4 inch display screen and dashboard. The only negative are the lower seats, which are a bit firm. Driving this beast is amazing, especially on the highway. The handling is smooth and solid feeling, and the 10 speed Allison transmission is a perfect match for the gas engine. I bought this truck mainly to tow my thirty foot 5th wheel camper, and it performs that duty like a champ. Fuel economy so far has been slightly less than I had from my 2022 RAM Big Horn 6.4,, but I'm told it will get better as I break it in. Currently I have 1250 miles on the odometer, and I'm averaging 14.2 mpg in mixed driving, 8.7 when towing. My truck has all the safety features, including Adaptive Cruise control, and I'm glad it does. As you get older, driving such a big vehicle can get more stressful, and I appreciate any assistance I can get. Thia Silverado is a great truck - now if Chevy would just make their seats a bit softer.
It does what they say it can do
