My 2006 Malibu is a wonderful vehicle. My gripes about it are that it came with no mats and the gas gauge is of low quality. It is a very spacious style. My friends even tell me that it looks like a luxury car. I have it in the dark blue metallic color. wow! At night time it looks black, and in the shade it's a dark navy blue. In the sun its a sparkly cheerful blue. My car is a 4 cylinder and it gets as much mileage as my old 2002 Nissan Sentra. For a base model, this car is loaded with features.

Lot of car for the money

I looked at Nissan Altima, Toyota Camary, Honda Accord, all with 4cyl and automatic transmission. The Chevrolet Malibu was far better in the class and very affordable, unlike the others. Electric steering, great handling, has plenty of power for a 4cyl. I use 91 octane and for the $.30 extra I am seeing an extra 4 miles in the city and 7 miles more per gallon on the hiway. Wow! If you calculate that I am saving money at 41 mile per- gallon on the hiway at 65 miles an hour

Well I've had my Chevy Malibu since 2006. I currently have 371,000 miles. NEVER had a major problem. Only tuned up once or twice. Have two cars but I prefer to drive my Malibu !

I bought this car, after hearing about is reliability and initial quality. I have seen nothing to contradict that. The car feels spacious on the inside, and even the most basic model comes with a wealth of accessories.

DO NOT BUY ONE!! Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A MALIBU!!! I have a 2006 and I have not even had mine a year and I've had sooo many problems with it. 2 oil leaks and a blown head gasket. I'm in the process of searching for a new car because I can't afford all these problems.
