Excellent Value

This car lives up to its highly regarded expectations. Zippy for its size, it has more than enough power. The transmission is silky smooth, and the drive is solid yet fun. I'm 6'3" tall and I have plenty of room in the driver's seat. I enjoy the good fuel economy. Only complaint is road noise gets a little high at highway speeds. Otherwise, I love this car.

I bought this car as a newlywed and still in college. It has grown with me. We have a child now, and I feel completely at ease with the performance and safety of this vehicle. My husband has suggested trading in on a newer car, but I can't stand the thought of giving up my car, even for a newer one. I love my car!

I bought this car with only 11,000 miles on it and yes it ran great for about 3 months, after that you name it it happened. The clear coat on front bumper started flaking off, back drivers side window would not work properly, tires did not hold to wet roads, replacement of 1 tire usually leads to all four because of computer (and at around $80 per tire)gas tank is plastic and small, and lets not forget I had to have my computer sensors reset twice, and it depreciated faster then anything. What happened to Chevy being the best. I will never purchase another Malibu ever.

Expensive to maintain

I got this car with 9900 miles on it, now has almost 160,000. I seem to have similar problems as everyone else. The intake gaskets need replaced, which causes the car to leak coolant, coolant reservoir replaced, fuel pump replaced water pump replaced, electrical problem with the emergencey hazard switch, some type of oil sensor replaced. The A/C turns off and on sporadically. Then the other normal manitenance. This car has been a very expensive car to maintain.
