Outstanding car, but not perfect.
This is my second Corvette. The first was a Yellow C5 Coupe. It was an awesome car and I loved every day I drove it. This White C6 is also a great car. I was so enamored with the extra 50hp that I didn't even notice how bad the "paddle shifters" were until I'd had it for a couple months. The six-speed auto is head and shoulders above the four-speed auto that was in my C5. But forget using the paddles. By the time it actually changes gears, the moment has passed and you forget you wanted to do something. I also preferred the C5s interior. I do love lots of the features of the C6 and in full-auto mode it's really quick. But I think I should have gotten the manual.
Never Again
If I would have only known the car would be worth a 3rd of my purchase price after 3 yrs of ownership and 15,000k, I would have never bought it. The build quality makes my Wonder why and how gm is still alive. But hey, the next guy who gets the car for next to nothing sure won't have much to complain about.

Best Vett Yet
I have owned Corvettes since my first in 1974. I bought it new upon my return from Vietnam. I traded my 2004 in on this one and it is by far the best one I have owned. My next one may be the new ZR1 that just came out, but I am not sure.
Wonderful/beautiful/exquisite sports car
It is absolutly the greatest experience in the world for me to be able to own and drive the only hand built American sports car left. Its style, comfort, and yes even economy is just out of this world. Thanks Chevrolet for building a sports car that is above the rest.
Victory red
I Was wanting a sports car. Looked at some porsche 911's, and bmw m class and Mercedes Amg. After driving the c6 with 6 speed manual and z51 package I was in love. Great car, comfortable with a great ride. Better than I ever thought it would be. Mine is equipped with corsa exhaust and a few other mods. Still hangs with cars alot newer and more expensive.

Wife LOVES this thing
Traded a 2011 Camaro 2SS/RS for an 07' Vette. It's a car she's always wanted and even though I preferred the Camaro I let it happen as I already have my dream car. Admittedly the car drives very well, has pleasant road manners, is predictable at speed and around corners and feels VERY solid. There's not much I can talk down about regarding this car. It delivers smiles when my wife drives it and she's happy (very important husbands). That being said there is something lacking in the car in my opinion. It just isn't my cup of tea but I do see the appeal here so I'll give a very honest review. Mechanical: Engine is great on this thing. It absolutely loves revs and delivers on every promise of excitement you'd expect. Power isn't "instant" but once you get this thing over 60mph it REALLY shines. the needle goes to 200 for a reason and I believe it'll make it very close (if not go past) to that. My wife wanted an Auto with paddles as she's more comfy with that and this happened to meet that criteria. Shifts aren't perfect all the time but they are consistent and it's easy to learn where the shift points are. Transmission shifts are really good and smooth, with longer gear ratios that enable that high-end speed and brakes work VERY well. Some downsides include the dreaded harmonic balancer issue (very expensive to fix and recommend a non-stock replacement), major cabin noise at speed and the car not being as drivable in all situations due to how low it sits. You have to be somewhat cautious of bumps as it's very easy to scrape. Lastly in it's stock form, the exhaust is boring. This can be remedied by purchasing aftermarket but I feel for what the car is the exhaust could have sounded Entirely better. Back to good things, the MPG's on this car are pretty amazing. Wife averages around 32MPG's when driving in mixed conditions in the summer which is pretty phenomenal. Interior: With the leather interior, HUD, and Bose system in the vehicle it's a fairly good place to be while you're driving. We elected to keep the stock head unit and just get a Bluetooth transmitter to enable streaming services as the sound is good with rich bass and crisp high-notes. Seats hug as they should in a car of this caliber and the seating (once you're in) is very nice. That being said this car sits extremely low and can be difficult to get into at times. The buttons to open the door are a blessing and curse. They seem to have a mind of their own (yes I disassembled/cleaned them) and if you put your car into storage like we do over the winter, or coming out to dead battery means crawling through the trunk to manually actuate the doors from the inside... not exactly fun and I feel like some actual levers may have been a better option. Keyless entry/starting is great for the most part. Once the remote starts to act up make sure to change batteries though... and they tend to last about a year at a time. Overall impressions from the wife: Again I have no really bad things to say about this car and this whole review is based on my wife's experience with the car as she's the primary driver on it and driving a Shelby myself to characterize differences. This car makes my wife feel absolutely special when driving, she's asked about it a lot and is pleased with her trade. It also stokes allot of competition between us as I'm personally a Shelby owner and see major differences between how the cars drive. Comparisions between 07Vette and 07 Shelby GT (No Number): Friendly competition resulted in some of the notes I've made between the two if you happen to be going back and forth with the two. 1. Power is more immediate from the Shelby from a standstill, but the Corvette has the higher top-end speed. Depending on where/how you drive this may be a factor. Shelby sounds AMAZING next to the Corvette (Both in "Stock" form) and me and the wife personally wish the Vette made a similar noise in stock form. Materials are a little sub-standard in the Vette compared the Shelby and it's hard to beat the radio in the Shelby as well... 1000W sound system with dedicated sub makes for a much better experience there. Getting in and out of the Shelby is easier as it sits higher and offers extra seats (if you want to call them that) in the back. The Shelby GT's came lowered slightly and also make for more practical daily driving, doing a better job soaking up the bumps without scrapes as well. Handling wise.. the Vette definitely wins as it corners like nothing I've seen from a vehicle this large. That being said, my 07 Shelby GT all but keeps up with it, only loosing out due to the live rear end vs independent that the Vette offers up. The Vette is lighter by a few hundred pounds and offers up more HP, but the HP can be easily remedied through a supercharger and longer gearing. For the money (they're both running roughly the same price currently) you can't really go wrong with either and it really boils down to personal taste and how you like your power offered up... Try both and see where you might fit in!

VVVVRRROOOMMMM
Ive had my 2007 C6 for exactly 1 year, and just love it. There really is not anything I can think of that I dislike. Its my first Vette so I'm pretty happy, its was my dream car. 400HP is plenty for cruising around Long Island, with all the traffic, only occasionally can I really get her up to a good speed, and so stable its amazing. yeah my body color top creaks and groans sometimes, but i just turn up the stereo. Mine is a higher mileage car, a 3LT, and everything works, previous owners took good care of her, I'm the new keeper, to care for her, she's def spoiled. I intend on keeping her for a long time.

07 c6 convertible Monterrey red
Bout this in 2023 used with 9800 miles. Has 3LT package, automatic with paddle shift and magnetic shocks. Power top and chrome wheels with two tone black and cashmere seats. Put 500 miles on it and it’s up for the winter. Always loved the style of the c5 and c6. Reminds me of the c3 but modern. When with c6 based on the non flip up lights and styling. No issues so far. Fingers crossed. The power is amazing and puts an extra smile on my face. Comfort when driving and the mpg on normal cruising trips is amazing 30mpg. The Bose system is awesome and the heated seats are nice on a cool night. It helps my back pain. I’m 50 but can still easily get in and out of car. The memory seats are nice for auto adjusting seat for me and lifting up when I exit. Handling is awesome on twisty winding roads. But in town it rides nice. Still a little stiff as it is a vette but very comfortable and not jarring over bumps like vettes in the past. Highly impressed and stare at it every day in the garage anticipating the next drive. It make you feel like a kid again. The pulling power on this vette is amazing for 400hp. I drove an ls3 and you reall don’t notice the extra 30hp. You do in the z06 and zr1. But bang for the buck you won’t go wrong. I have the load mouth slp exhaust and it just sounds amazing. I may upgrade some day to a c7 convertible but it won’t be for many years as I just love the style of the c6 from the the front, side, and rear with the circle tail lights. It just says I’m a corvette.

Falling apart
This corvette has been a nightmare. The first thing was the top creaks when hot and has been to the shop 4 times and still not fixed. Both front sway bar links had to be replaced and the entire rack and pinion. The drivers bottom seat panel has to be replaced and the battery has been replaced. The problems just keep mounting and for a car that costs this much I would have expected better quality.
