Used 2004 Chevrolet Colorado Regular Cab Consumer Reviews
Colorado
My Colorado has been such a let down. It feels way too light going down the road. It bounces and is not responsive. Although aesthetically the car is nice, it just did not perform the way I thought it should.
Leaky 2004 Colorado
Driver's side of cab has been filling with water ever since we got this pickup. Our dealership techs have been unable to fix this, despite repeated stays in their shop. It's been with them since before Thanksgiving this round (Jan.8,2007). For a brand new vehicle, this is unacceptable. We are looking into lemon law for resolution with GM.

This truck is a winner
Listen carefully- I want to get the word out- this truck is awesome! I bought a like new 2004 2.8l 5 speed. It has 75,000 miles and drives like a champ- this is proof this truck has good quality. I use it to haul my motorcyles and pick up materials for my weekend projects. It's comfy, the stick shift has great position and feel to it and it shifts smoothly! This little engine is great on gas and once you get moving it hums. Great stereo. Fun to drive!
fun to drive maintenance hog
I purchased my Canyon new in 2005 with 30 miles on it and now it has 162,000. It rides very comfortably, good mileage, and has good handling except for wheel hop when the road is wet. For the first 4 years/50k miles the truck was great, after that, the front coils, all 4 shock absorbers and exhaust started to wear out, break and were replaced. By 80k miles, the u-joints on the driveshaft had been replaced, and a mystery vacuum leak started, causing many parts in the vacuum system to be changed. By 100k, most of the cooling system had been changed including the temp sensor, thermostat, radiator, water pump, and head gasket due to overheating. Since then, the driveshaft, leaf springs, fuel pump and many sensors have been changed. The VVT actuator/exhaust sprocket failed and is no longer available from GM and is not available in the aftermarket. The truck is now junk because it can pass inspection. Save yourself and don't buy the 4 cylinder version of this truck, It is prone to failure much more than the 5 cylinder version

It's been great
I bought the Colorado as a demo with 8K miles. The only item I had to replace was an oxygen sensor that I replaced myself for $60. I take very good care of my vehicles and the truck still looks and runs like brand new after 100K miles.
