Used 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Consumer Reviews
Happy with the car
We bought this car with 27,000 miles on it and now it has 90,000+. The car has been great for us, as we have had absolutely no problems. It is a lot more fun to drive than the other economy cars. Ours is fairly loaded with the bigger tires and alloy wheels, and the spoiler. We still get compliments on the appearance of the car. Our city MPG averages about 24, and we get about 30 in the highway.
Best Investment
This is my first brand new car, and after years of driving hand me downs and discards, I love this car. I travel with my 100lb. dog and it has ample room for us both. That's why I chose the sedan over the coupe. With XM Satellite radio, I couldn't believe I wasn't in heaven. While it uses a little more gas than I'm used to (I drove a Honda for years and they're gas misers), it's not bad for an American car. I average about 26 mpg. During a recent road trip to VA beach from NY- I filled up once and it took me down with gas to spare! I am very pleased! My boyfriend loves the stereo system that came in the car.

Fun little car
Got this car a while ago with 5,000 miles on it. It's been good so far, has great fuel economy and is really fun to drive, especially in the city. It's great to park! The seats are a little stiff after 4 or 5 hours, and the side mirrors are a little smaller than I'd like, but other than that I really like the look and feel.
Good bang for your dollar
I have been looking to buy a car for about 6 months and was getting set to buy a Mazda3. But then I saw the Cobalt and I fell in love with it. I found the Cobalt and the Mazda3 were pretty much the same car but with the Cobalt ranging anywhere from $3,000 to $6,000 cheaper..I'll take that any day of the week. It has nice pick up and easy handling. The style is very nice and pleasing to look act.
LS 4Dr Auto
I have the 4dr LS model w/ sport appearance package. After test driving this and the Mazda 3, I found that this car was a tad quieter on the highway. I'm averaging 7.9l/100km (even with A/C usage) It's spacious for my needs, and the trunk is absolutely huge (about on par with the 300 from Chrysler). It's small and nimble enough to work well in the city and subburban areas, and it fits in most tight parking spaces. It did take some time to get used to the drivers seat as it felt a bit stiff for a number of weeks, but now I've found my "sweet spot". The sun visors to me seem a little smaller than my Z24 and I can not block as much sun as I used to. All said though it's a fantastic car, get one!
