Used 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Consumer Reviews
Research GM's 8 speed before you buy one
This makes the 7th time my 2016 camaro with the 8 speed auto has been in the shop for transmission problems in 42000 miles . There is a very intense vibration when it shifts from 6th-7th-8th gear . The cylinder deactivation also causes vibration and many times a pause between shifting and cylinder deactivation followed by a catch and a thud or very hard shift . The dealer has reprogrammed 4 times and flushed the transmission 3 times each time the problem gets better it is not perfect but better then gradually starts getting worse and worse until I cant stand it and take it in again . After researching this problem online I have learned this is a very common problem in many GM vehicles (cars and trucks ) with the 8 speed auto which is probably why they are going to put the new 10 speed in the camaro next year . I have been very understanding but am fed up and have no choice but to get rid of the car before my warranty is up .

A lot of bang for the buck but it is unreliable.
Great car that's fun to drive. Performance and options match or outperform that of European sports cars double the price. However the car is too unreliable to recommend.

Corvette lite
We have owned the car about a month and it is a very fast car, we also own the new Mustang 5.0 with the performance package and they are very different rides. The Camaro, while luxurious still feels ferocious, the Mustang is smoother and a little tame. The technology in the Camaro is way better than the Mustang, it seems GM look over the Mustang and made everything better.

No A.C.
My car has spent, collectively, 2 weeks in the dealership because my A/C will not work. They have no idea what is wrong with it, GM has no idea what is wrong with it and it's still broken. Living in South Texas with a car whose A/C doesn't work is unacceptable. Amazing vehicle otherwise, but having no A/C in a 2016 Camaro with 19k miles on it is completely unacceptable. Will not be purchasing another GM product.

My 2016 1/2 2SS Convertible
This was a special ordered 2-SS Convertible that wasn't even manufactured until April 2016 in Lansing. I have had a 1969 & 1973 Z-28 Camaro, 1971 & 74 'vette but this car with the magnetic ride, LT1 Corvette Engine in nothing but FUN to drive. This is the most responsive factory made car I have ever had the pleasure of driving. Regardless of speed form 27 to 127, when you ask it to move faster - it does without hesitation. Having the 4 handling settings allow you to tour down the road with an amazing 28.5 MPG at 65 MPH, or in Sport mode make on lookers snap their necks to see it. This model year did not offer either the Z-28 & ZL1 options so they really piled on the extras with the 2SS models. I waited for Chevy to put the new Convertible top on this model and it was well worth the wait. You can drive up to 35 MPH and easily open or close the top. After driving a 2015 and 2015 convertible, this is by every means superior top in every way, even noise. I dubbed this my retirement car, but never knew I would love driving near as much as I do and I only have 2,500 miles, can't wait to add more.
