A Terrible Vehicle
Worst vehicle I have ever owned...I have put six batteries and three alternators in the truck and yet GM says there is no electrical problems with these trucks. The brakes failed and I ran into a sidewalk. The push- button 4WD had to be replaced. The heating system had to be fixed and now the AC does not get cold, despite a recent coolent recharging. Oh, and there have been countless recalls on top of these expensive repairs. This the last GM product I will ever own.
WORST CAR I EVER OWNED
NOTHING BUT TROUBLE!! I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE SHOP AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. BUY SOMETHING ELSE..
Met the need
Very happy. Reliable, with very few problems. Transmission had a problem within first 2 years, but was under warranty. Tires lasted over 53,000 miles. Rear window washer feeder line has been a pain... keeps coming loose. Starting to hear a few annoying rattles inside cabin, coming from doors. Love the 4.3 L engine, had it in previous GMC Jimmy. Overall, it met my needs just fine.
Money Pit
This was my first car and it's in the shop right now for about the 7th time in a year. in the past 3 months I have had to have it towed 4 times. I have put over 2 grand into it with repairs. It goes through gas like nothing, brakes failed on me twice, rear windshield wiper doesn't work anymore, power seats and locks don't work anymore. I will never own another blazer. Sure it was great in the snow and looks decent but everything else is pretty terrible. I would not recommend this as a daily driver...maybe just for someone to use in the snow and that's it.
Chevy Blazer is a joke
If you enjoy going to the repair shop, and being without your car for extended periods, this is the car for you. I treated my Blazer with kid gloves and performed regular maintenance. But it always broke down. Major repairs included the transmission, suspension, alternator, exhaust, and more. To add insult to injury, I had purchased an extended warranty. The only "guarantee" was that Chevy service would hassle you every time you brought it in and make you wait weeks at a time. Gas tank is far too small for such as guzzler, and the stereo broke three times to boot. Fun to drive, but it was in the shop so often, I'm not sure.
