Used 2019 Cadillac CT6 Consumer Reviews
Most Fun Car Ever
If you have never owned a luxury sedan - give yourself a month to learn about the features , where they are and how to program them. I transferred from a Cadillac XTS to my CT 6 so my learning curve was much shorter but the surround vision was great, USB and Hot spot features take some getting used to, ONSTAR uses the built in Navigation system - you need to understand the interface features between Onstar and the onboard Navigation system - the one feature that is confusing is the memory setting from your remote key bob - they are not numbered anymore for some reason so you can confuse the memory setting for the seats and mirrors if you transfer remote keys - this is the one feature you should have the dealer explain before you drive your car away - it will save time later. Other than that - curl up with the instructions books and enjoy. After more than a year - I would add that the Premium Red car color is great as well - My car is outside 24/7 and looks clean all the time except during pollen season :) Now 3 years in and I still love the car but will be replacing it with a 2020 Lexus LS 500 F Sport next week. I wanted to upgrade my car to a Double Turbo CT 6 Sport Premium Luxury but GM discontinued that engine and car and essentially discontinued me after driving Cadillac's since 2006

Great Car but Transmission is an issue
i bought this preowned certified 2017 Cadillac CT 6. Lovely car but two weeks after i got it transmission is like clanking and vibrates when it goes into a lower gear. My wife was in the passenger seat and thought the car was coming apart.

Last chance at a big Cadillac sedan
My wife and I have driven Cadillacs since 1987 when we bought a used 1982 El Dorado. We have owned everything including three Sedan DeVilles, a Fleetwood, three Seville SLSs, two DTSs, an Allante, an XTS and now a CT6. We bought the CT6 at the end of 2018 with 3K miles on it. Near-new Cadillacs used to be real bargains price-wise. We have driven the CT6 less than a thousand miles per month. It is an impressive-looking car in its Midnight Sky Metallic paint. It is quiet and comfortable. We don't drive aggressively so the standard 3.6 Liter V6 is okay, but I would prefer to have a V8 in my luxury car. It is much more enjoyable than the 2017 XTS Premium we owned for a year. The V6 has plenty of power but it sounds wimpy compared to the Northstar V8 in our 2010 DTS. The CT6 had zero problems for the first two years and then the transmission problem reared its head. The problem was fixed under warranty. Some irritating things about the CT6 are the too shallow trunk and a poorly placed power window switch. I can't get my rollator walker in without taking the seatback bar off and the power window switch for the driver's side front window is too far forward of where your hand rests. The result is that you mistakenly lower the rear window by mistake. Overall, the CT6 is as good as it gets for a big Cadillac sedan. Subjectively, I would say it is not as quiet or comfortable as the DTS was. Cadillac is chasing another demographic these days. I hope they don't totally forget about mature folks who want a sedan with a smooth, quiet ride and lots of style. 2023 Update. With the exception of the transmission software issue which was fixed under warranty, the CT6 has been trouble free through four and a half years and 55k miles until something broke in the drivers seat. It required replacement of the entire lower seat frame and all the motors it contains because it is serviced as a single unit. Car is driven by my wife who is a small lady. Have never had a driver's seat give out like this. With the dealers $199 an hour labor included, it cost us $1500. It took three weeks to get the part and make the repair, but the dealer provided a courtesy car (2023 XT4) at no cost. Not happy, but glad to have the quiet, comfortable CT6 back. 70,000 mile update: The transmission problem returned with a vengeance. The "fix" was a $700 transmission flush. Keep in mind if you are considering a Cadillac that has the 8-speed transmission that they do not appear to be reliable.

love the Cadillac CT6
It is everything I expected from Cadillac. Love the comfort and handling as well as the beautiful design. Gas mileage is great, average a little over 28 mpg on a recent 3,000 mi trip.

OLD GRAY MAYER AINT WHAT SHE USED tO BE
Ride is awful for a Caddy. Low profile tires is the culprit. hit a curb, no tire scrape just grinding of the very expensive wheel. It happened with my 2013 XTS and the CT6 with same type of low tire will cause the same problem in addition to causing a bumpy ride. The smoooth Caddy ride generated a lofty reputation. It is sad that it is being abandoned due to wrong tire height is being used.
