A better option for a small crossover must exist.
Serious buyers remorse happening for me after getting the '22 Encore Preferred. I had always wanted to try a Buick and had my eye on the Encore for a while. First thing I noticed was the gas milage is shockingly bad for such a small vehicle with an engine to match. The needle seems to fall right before your eyes......I swear my 2016 Caravan got better gas milage than this thing does. I guess they made the engine more powerful this time around, but all I have to say about that is I would have hated to see the weaker version because this one aint exactly a V-8 itself, making passing in particular much more challenging than I'm used to. Between the seat console configuration isn't very imaginative or roomy and the USB ports are nearly impossible to reach being tucked at the back of cubby which sits directly in front of the shifter. Ride is often bumpy as most smaller vehicles tend to be. Body/cabin is a bit too vertical for me - the new GX version is wider and lower. I looked at the GX and decided to go with the cheaper Preferred, but the difference is price is only a couple grand I think. Seats are semi-comfy at best. Stereo is ok.....servicable if nothing else. Overall........wish I'd splurged for either the GX or even a truck. Oh well, chalk this one up as an oops and carry on.
rental car hell
could not fit a suitcase and a small cooler in the trunk. what in the name of marconi is up with the am/fm antenna? i KNOW there are plenty of radio stations on the routes i drive, this radio couldn't seem to find them. took 2 days to find the trip odometer (and another 1/2 hour to find out "how" to operate it). really, the radio was the biggest complaint! driving down I-40 between needles and barstow is mind numbing enough, now turn on the lack of radio reception!

Great little car!
Always shop around before getting into a Buick, is a great car but many Buick dealerships charged a lot for them. We went to Delray Buick, they treated us like kings and gave us what we wanted.

The Same, but Different
This is my 3rd Buick Encore. It has a few new features, but but basically the same as the first one. The interior isn't as nice--I wanted leather, but that is now too expensive. The seat warmers have to be installed on the car, which I don't like. One could find an Encore with seat warmers, but the wait, price, and availability might be problematic.

Good Car With A Few Caveats
Overall, I like the car. It's a nice size for me. It's big enough that I can transport pieces of furniture from Ikea, TVs from Best Buy, and other stuff like that with no issue. It's also small enough that I can fit into tight parking spots and things like that. I like that it has push to start and keyless entry available. That can be very helpful when I have my hands full and don't feel like rattling around in my bag for the key. All of the systems in the car are nice. I like that it has OnStar available. One EXTREMELY annoying thing about this car for me is that when you are low on gas, it doesn’t tell you how many miles you have until you run out of gas. At first, it does, but once you get to like 30-40 miles left, it stops showing a number and just says “Low.” This is a HUGE inconvenience for me. I would prefer to see an actual number. “Low” doesn’t really mean anything to me. If I have 30 miles left, I'm going to keep driving, but if I have 5 miles left, I will stop for gas. With this car, there is no way to know which it is.

WORST vehicle EVER, well most USELESS vehicle
Ok, the ford super duty 6.0 was the worst but this is a USELESS vehicle. CANT get a kayak rack to go to the river for a day of fun. CANT get a trailer hitch to pull a trailer for the kayaks. CANT get off road/snow tires to get up the driveway in winter!! Thats a dozen 2 mile walks in deep snow every week all winter carrying 50 pound feed bags up a steep hill, as the SUV gets parked at the street and we have to walk home!!!! Cant get a remote start which is an available option- but the dealer cant add it later- as we were told. This thing may be OK to go a mile to work- in town ONLY- in Texas, but its totally useless for ANYTHING else- anywhere else. No where near the space or use-ability of the RAV4 we traded in. THAT RAV-4 WOULD CARRY EVERYTHING WE WANTED ANYWHERE. (with AT2 tires it would bust through 4 ft deep snow drifts without hesitation). Computer has glitches but the heater, radio, cruise and wipers work well. We are stuck as we only get a vehicle every 18 years. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, NEVER again Buick.
Love this little SVU
Drives nice comfort on the highway, easy to park, met all my hauling needs with seats down, highway mpg great, city mpg needs to improve.

Triple Win!
The vehicle was a win-win-win! It looked good, drove great!, and the price was fair too!
Never again!
I have had so many problems with this car. Bought it 2 years ago and it’s been in the shop 5 times! Transmission module, starter module, kept over heating…well at least the module THOUGHT it was over heating. It was another module. That cost me $1200. A couple of times they couldn’t figure out why it was telling me it was over heating. The last time in the shop they told me an error was coming up and I MAY have a problem with the heater this winter, which is no longer under warranty and will cost me about $1500. Well last night my engine light came on again…UGH. I bought a new car so I wouldn’t have problems. Buick, Never again!!
