Used 2013 BMW 5 Series Sedan Consumer Reviews
Fast, luxury car!
I just purchased this vehicle and let me say, for the year, it still looks like the newer models because the body style is timeless! This car has some really cool technological features, it’s fast, there’s plenty of room for friends and family inside and it’s really FUN to drive!

High milage used but not abused
This 528i xdrive with 134000 miles runs beautifully and looks new. I purchased over a year ago and it is a great vehicle with excellent gas milage and performance. I will be looking to purchase a new 5 series very soon.

Addition: Well, I sold my car last week. I found out that the car has inherent issues with the motor. I was warned by my mechanic to sell it while it was still smog legal otherwise I would have to have the engine rebuilt; $6k+. Seems BMW - made a bad motor that cooks the oil which in turn can wreck the valve sleeves. I did think it was interesting that I had to add a qt. of oil every 2m miles. Even "Consumer Reports" has that car model listed as Worst used cars. It's a big car feel. Not sporty like my 2010 128i. Even with the adjustable suspension settings, the car feel for like a straight forward cruiser designed for long trips on fast freeways. 550i's V-8 twin turbo, is an awesome engine, that is effortlessly swift with barely noticeable shifting. Styling is still one of my favorites. I am averaging 23 mpg with roughly 75% freeway/25% city type miles.
