Simply the best

I have owned my performance package (ZHP) for just over 1 year and it has been wonderful. I have two small kids and had to find a sedan that fit the family and was still fun to drive. The 330i is simply the best. There is a reason why all other manufacturers try to imitate the 3 series, it is the perfect balance of fun and functionality. If you want to have the best than look no further, I have owned many cars and have never been happier. The acceleration is amazing, the fuel economy is great for a "performance" car, the handling is uncomparable. Other cars will outrun in a straight line, but he fun is in the turns!

Still the Sexiest Car on the Road

It has been 4.5 years since I bought it and I still get excited every time I get behind the wheel. You can punch it through the sharpest of curves and fly up and down the steepest of hills will full confidence that this machine will exceed your expectations. Solid ride! Better thrill than a roller coaster! In fact, the other day, while resting at a stop sign after a fun filled heart pounding 10 minute joy ride thru the Connecticut countryside, I actually thought I heard the car mutter, “how’d I do?” Add on the fact that this is still the best looking car on the road and that it has the sweetest engine purr you will hear from a car in this class, I have myself a solid purchase!

325xi with steptronic purchased as certified pre-owned with 18500 miles. Car is like new - agile handling, superb steering, fair to good acceleration (best from 25 mph to 75 mph), and solid feel. Interior leather, carpet, etc., all of high quality with no signs of wear. Seats are firm and comfortable. Cold weather package is a great option but fold-down seats or at least a pass-through should be standard feature on this car as trunk space is limited. Jet black paint is nice but optional metallic paint looks better on this model as 325s lack the chrome trim of the 330s models. Driving experience is great whether on highway or twisty back roads. H-K sound upgrade is good but not outstanding.

xDrive ROCKS! Handles flawlessly in any road condition. Combination of AWD and Dynamic Stability Control makes this vehicle as near to fool-proof as you can get behind the steering wheel of a car. If safety is high on your list, but you do not want to compromise too much in the way of performance, ride or comfort, consider the 325xi.

My wife & I bought our blue 325iT certified pre-owned and have been extremely happy with the car. (And at CPO pricing, almost a bargain.) The car is as fun to drive as the 325 sedan and even sticks better in the curves due to its slight rearward weight bias and lowered suspension. At freeway speeds, we get 32 mpg! (City fuel economy, tho, is a poor 18 mpg.) Rear seat area is adequate but not spacious but we find the rear cargo area just fine (if you need to carry a 70-inch TV, maybe you need a bigger wagon). The Premium Package is superb - very luxurious and power-everything - get it. Fit and finish are also superb and our reliability has been pretty rock solid. A fabulous car.

I purchased my convertible bimmer as a replacement for my old Mustang. I've read a lot of great reviews on the car and it's got the classy look I've been wanting. I went to the dealer and took a test drive and fell in love! I look forward to driving it all the time. I jump when someone needs to run up to the store. I don't mind the brake dust, though it is excessive. It gives me time to admire my ride. :-)

I have had this car for one year and a half and still smile every time I get into it. I've taken it on two long road trips 1000+ miles and avg 32 miles on the highway; at home I get about 23. I've had no problems with it and love the once a year oil change. It's a comfortable car and is fast off the line. The exterior and interior style is something BMW should never have left, and in my eyes it has classic lines and a refined German style. The fold down seats and ski bag make a small car easier to swallow. Simply put I love this car and don't mind the car payment.

This is the second BMW I have owned. The first was a 1999 323i and it was my most favorite car - but I totaled it on the ice. It saved my life, as I slid into ongoing traffic and was hit in the driver door with a van on the interstate. I walked away without a scratch. I finally found the 2004 325i that I have now. It is now my most favorite car. More power, came with arm rest and doesn't hesitate at starts into traffic

I bought this car with 40,000 miles on it. I like it a lot. It turns heads and make for a great conversation piece wherever I am. Handling is incredible. It seems to have a few small elec problems though. One day the car wouldn't let me out of it, windows, roof, doors, locked for about 10 min. Some days the car won't start when I turn key the 1st time, have to do it twice. All lights come on dash and you hear a noise from the engine but nothing but on second turn it cranks. My car requires me to add antifreeze every month, this seems odd also.

This thing is amazing I found one with 112k miles for cheap, this thing drives ridiculously well, smooth transmission for an old car, very balanced ride. Very liberal oil change intervals, surprisingly easy to work on. Hasn't left me stranded once in more than a year!

Bought this car 2007 with 30,000 miles. Drive it mainly on freeways and once a round trip from Montana to California, during winter, car was parked and buried for days in snow while in Montana, engine started strong with no problems. It's now 215,000 miles on it and car still strong and reliable, but usual maintenance like alternator just recently changed, and minor parts here and there, the car is still run well. Overall this car is really strong and reliable.

I love the way the car looks (Mystic Blue with gray interior) with sports package. I feel safe in the car because it is so solidly made. It's so much fun to drive and to be seen in! I had an epiphany when washing my bimmer for the first time by hand. It reminded me of my first Hot Wheels toy car, a BMW, orange and a 300 series from the 70's. AS I was washing my car I felt like I was washing my toy car.

I really had a tough time choosing this BMW over a similar-priced G35. What finally clinched it was a two-day rental I did on a business trip. The G35 was a great car to test-drive, with killer acceleration and handling. But over the course of two days, driving about 200 miles per day, I noticed that: it had a rough ride and hates potholes; the auto transmission is never sure what gear to pick and always has a lag; the seats are uncomfortable (why do all Japanese cars have way too much lumbar?); and I simply could not get past how cheap the interior felt.

Overall this is the worst vehicle EVER!! I keep fixing parts all the time, if I can summarize all the problems with BMW 325i I will need more space. Please stay away from BMW you will thank me later. Great engine but that's it; the quality of the cockpit is horrible, the engineers who design the cheap parts in the interior and exterior should be ashamed.

I had to chuckel at another review I just read. My biggest complaint is how darn much money I put into this car, On the other hamd I drive it hard all year long and use on my sales job. II got it with 88,000 mi and put on 50,000 miles. At least two new sets of brakes. Total overhaul of cooling system that a NMW mechanic did after I messed it up $3200. I took a 6 year long and sure enough I owe nore than the car is worth. Did I say I love to drive it, detail it zoom in the left lane at 90 mph. For now I am going to hang on to it maybe even restore the interior. It has become a hobby, way cheaper than a boat.

I purchased the vehicle new to replace a 318i that I loved and drove for 8 years. This car has been a nightmare. First, the dealership messed up the installation of the BlueTooth. Then the engine wouldn't start, and the car, which was less than one years old, had to be towed in for service. It took one week to repair! Then the car needed brake service. And the turn signals have never worked properly, nor the door locks, even after multiple servicing.

Our first BMW. It's difficult to summarize why we love this car so much - let's just say it does everything well. All the components work together perfectly. Athletic and refined at the same time. Driving it can be relaxed or exciting - you choose. Options can add up quickly, but do yourself a favor and spring for heated seats and park distance control. The stock halogen headlights are the best I've ever used - no need for Xenons in my opinion. The 2.5 liter engine's fine above 2500 rpm and absolutely loves to run at highway speeds.

MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS AFTER DRIVING FOR 5 HOURS THE SEATS IN THE 325I REALLY START HURTING THE BACK. NO LUMBAR SUPPORT. OVERALL RATING IS HIGH.

I bought mine CPO; premium and sports package; black on black with 39,000 miles in 2007. I've always owned Japanese and my last car was a 1997 Integra GSR. But I needed a 4-door for the ease of carrying more than one passenger, so I bought this Bimmer even though I had trepidation about its reliability as I found this particular year and model to be the best looking 4-door sport sedan out there (even now in 2009 IMO). Two years into the ownership and I have not had any major issue. I recently lost my job; I don't miss my job but I missed not making the daily commute in my 325i. That's how much I love this car, how about that!

I absolutely love this car. I've owned it for only 3.5 months, but its my second BMW (I also own a 2002 X5), and this is one of the most enjoyable cars I've ever driven. I wish they offered the M3 in an AWD version, as I would have bought that for the extra power; but don't let the stated hp mis-lead you, as this car provides more than enough acceleration to make for a very enjoyable ride. I shopped this against the Audi A4 and A6 Quatro's and the Infinity AWD model, but you simply can't beat BMW on performance and handling - I highly recommend this car.

This is the best car I've owned. It has great performance w/ 30 mpg! The 5- speed manual is flawless and the rid is firm but excellent for a sports coupe. The cornering and handling is first class. I can't wait to get into it and go. The 325 may not have as big an engine as the 330, but I don't feel it needs it. This has all the power I need. My 325 has the Cold Weather, Premium, and Sports package. The sport seates are wonderful. The gray leather gives the BMW an elegant look. The Xenon headlights make a huge difference. For the price, I got the dealer to throw in the 6-disk trunk CD-changer and the home-link type garage door opener.

There are 3 things I love about this car: 1) Handling and performance, it's a dream to drive on freeways and windy roads. 2) Interior is simple and elegant - I prefer BMW interior of this model period vs the newer BMW design which is unnecessarily complex. 3) Seats are firm and very comfortable for long rides. I sat in the back seat of a friend's BMW 3-series of same year and the surprisingly comfortable ride in the back if you want a smaller car. It would be tight squeeze though for a guy over 6 ft tall but more room than Mercedes C-class in same price range.

I've had this car for 2500 miles now and can only say that it has the worst suspension, and drive by wire system imaginable. There is a 0.5 second delay after you hit the accelerator, and the car bounces, floats, and leans terribly regarding the suspension. The interior is nice and clean. However the performance suffers so greatly, I am going to have to upgrade both the suspension and software to make it livable. I thought it was the break in period, but alas, it's made this way. Not recommended for anyone that owned a previous (E36 model years) BMW. The XI version drives more like an SUV than a sedan. For the money, it's not worth it.

I've owned this car for three years now, and there is nothing out there that can match the awesome driving experience of the 330i with Performance Package. The handling is perfect, virtually no understeer and great rotation through the corners. Clutch, shifter, and brakes are the best in class. Interior is laid out perfectly; no frills, and very driver oriented... even better than the redesigned 3 Series. Have had no problems with the car except occasional oil consumption. Quality is outstanding, dealership experience is first-class, and this thing is built like a tank!

The BMW XI is an ubeleivably good handling car. The sport package is a must though. Without it you can feel that the car is a station wagon in corners, but with the sport package the ability of the car to carve a corner even after going beyond the tire's ability to grip is breathtaking. It may not be a rocket ship in the straight lines, but if the road is snaking nice and tight, that WRX can't get away.

Car is extremly fun to drive, can only imagine how the 330xi handles. Interior is luxurious with the premium package, and is well designed not to interfere with driving experience. But, there is almost no storage space inside. With the 325xi, you feel like you can handle any turn or obstacle in the road. Looked at the G35 which has nice power, but for the overall package the BMW 3-series is the way to go.

This car is glued to the road. I didn't want an SUV, yet I needed some cargo space and all wheel drive, and a Subaru just didn't do much for me. As soon as I drove the BMW I was hooked. It has a great stereo, decent cargo capacity with the seats folded down, and has been getting over 25 MPG. And the handling! I live in the mountains, and the car is just amazing. Even when going into a turn very hot, as long as you keep your foot on the gas pedal, the sliding is minimal. Truely amazing. If you chicken out and let off the gas, it will slide though. I have no regrets.

The 325iT has sport package and 5-speed manual and handles beautifully. Another 187 miles of splendid mountain roads today with 3 adults and a dog---26.53 MPG with spirited driving. If you are into status, buy a Benz. If you just love to drive, get a Bimmer.

This car replaces our aging SUV and it was a welcome replacement. EVERYTHING on this car is first-rate and driving it is a joy. The color, fit and finish are superb. The interior is identical to our 328 until you get past the back seat and then you have even more room! The car handles very well with little roll and great cornering. Driving at speed on the freeway is especially enjoyable. This wagon is smart, practical, fun and very much a BMW. Everyone who has seen it up- close has commented on what a surprise it is -- this is one versatile and beautiful car!

An absolute joy to drive. The car feels very solid and composed and corners with minimal body lean. The engine is silky smooth and the brakes are excellent. Even with a moonroof, there's still plenty of headroom inside. On average, I get about 24 mpg. For about $1,400, the leather seats are a must-have option-- the standard leatherette/vinyl seats look and feel cheap. I was debating between getting the BMW or the Infiniti G35, but I just couldn't stomach the cheap- looking interior and the odd-looking exterior of the G35. Besides, BMW offers free scheduled maintenance for first 4 yrs/50,000 miles.

Second BMW 330 ragtop owned. Delightful to drive but has two weaknesses. Underpowered even with the 225 HP six and engine sound is so flat you feel you are in a Yugo. Missing the muscular engine of previous 3 series. Has some body roll but is very tight for a convertible. Well built, few problems within first six months of ownership. Upgraded 18" wheels are beautiful and get compliments wherever I drive. Little wind noise at high speeds.

I've had the 330ci for four problem free years. I love the car - it's got everything; great performance, great looks, great economy and great reliability. Who could ask for anything more? I've been a BMW driver for 30 years, and this is the best (tho' I still wouldn't give up my 93 318is). For anyone considering buying a used bimmer, I'd give the 330ci a strong recommendation, without reservations

I purchased this car for my frequent trips to Tahoe. With the sport package it sticks to the road whether it is wet or dry. I tried to take this car off the line, but without disabling DSC I had no luck. On the snow it is unbeatable. Chain control people are at loss when I tell them it is AWD. I have passed many SUVs and trucks on snow covered roads with full confidence. My highway gas mileage is staying around 21-21.5 when city is close to 19. Awesome car...

This is a lot car for money. I have had two other bmw I 635 an a 735. The improvement is easy to see. I currently have two mercedes as well,a sl an the large s-class. I had took a look at the jag xk-8, but it back seat was to small. I also looked at the new 320clk convertible by merecedes, but it wouldn't be avaiable until mid march or april. Also The merecedes didn't have the option of a hardtop like the bmw. An finally the reliability of the bmw was much better then the 2003/2004 merecedes.

This is my very first BMW!! But it WILL not be the last! The handling on the highway, especially in traffic and through the endless construction zones surrounded by trucks, is incredible! I feel safe like never before, and driving is actually FUN!!

Great performance. Brisk acceleration and a feeling of complete control in handling.Somewhat limited cargo carrying space. Better value than Mercedes, Audi or Volvo. Best way to buy is to order with features you really need as car comes pretty well equipped with standard features.

We've had this car since August 2003, with European delivery. It is by far the best, most fun car I've ever driven, including our 1996 Infiniti I30. On the Autobahn it cruises at 120 mph effortlessly. Even at that speed, it accelerates immediately. Handling is superb, the optional Harmon Kardon stero magnificent. I could not be happier!

I haven't had this car for too long, but I am in love. I have been researching BMWs for quite a while now and am glad I finally took the plunge. I recommend this cute little luxury car to anyone!
