I purchased this car via the Euro Delivery program. I saved about 4k off the typical selling price, and had a wonderful time driving for a couple of weeks in Germany. It is the best car I have ever owned. It is still fun, 4 years after I bought it, to drive to the store to pick up milk or whatever. It gets excellent gas mileage, is rock solid at 50k miles, with no repairs, and my three sons fit in the back seat with no problem. It is extremely safe; I have avoided several accidents because of the combination of excellent visibility and manuverability. The sports package is excellent and a bargain. Great car!

The 3 Series is the best buy in sports sedan market segment. I have absolutely enjoyed owning it. The handling and stability going down the road is tremendous. I have driven about everything else that is listed as competition, but nothing comes close. Happily there are numerous aftermarket accessories and parts suppliers that provide an alternative to the high priced dealer.

Good Car If You Can Afford It

My dad purchased this car for me in May. I had it inspected and they said it was in above average condition. Since I bought it I've had to replace the expansion tank for $300, Power Steering Pump and Hoses $1000, oil change for $160 and other hoses for $500. This is come to be expected of an 11 year old car. The brakes and brake pads have been fixed but constantly squeak and my lighter and car door lock button are broken. I've had the car inspected and the tires aligned but my car ALWAYS pulls! Other than those issues the car is good to drive, although it is TERRIBLE on gas. I am quite fond of the car but if I have a repair over $500 again, I'm selling it!

After my 3Yr warranty expired, the reliablity problems are gaining momentum. Got a $CDN 5000 repair bill to replace/fix belts, valves, shock mounts, brakes, trailing arm bushing and the list goes on. Aufwiedersehen BMW, I am buying the 04 Acura TL3.2

I purchased a certified manual 5-speed 1999-328i with 30,000 miles, in Jan 2002. Dealer installed new brakes pads and rotors, gave me 4 winter tires/rims/wheel covers, CD changer, refurbished 17" alloy wheels, paid 2/3 of the bill on new 17" Bridgestone Potenza S-03 performance tires, and warranty until April 2005/80,000 miles. The car had amazing handling even with the 16" michelin alpin winter tires. Now that I installed the 17" alloy wheels with S-03 performance tires, I can take the car on a twisty road at speeds 70-90 mph in complete confidence. I have been driving japanese cars for 20 years, and never got this enthusiastic about a car.
