Comes through on the hype!
Our decision to buy the Q7 was based on multiple reviews all of which gushed over the Q7. Turns out they were all true:-)

Brakes Squeal - Don't do it
The Audi Q7 2018 or the 2017 are horribly known to have brakes squeal while in reverse. Look it up, do your research and read the forums. Audi is ignoring the issue. Too much money for this car to have insanely loud brake squeal.

Good Ride with major flaws
For 80k this car has major flaws. No remote start! I get a lame excuse from the dealer that in Germany it's illegal, well I don't care, you are selling millions of Audis in US, MAKE A COMPATIBLE ONE! I feel alot of bumps in this car (the dealer lied and said it was air suspension but it was steel spring). The $5600 premium leather seats are terrible, the ventilation barely works and there are hard peices throughout the seat for the mechanical features that make it so uncomfortable! A Honda pilot is more comfortable! Or any decent car. The fuel efficiency is leaving a bigger dent in my pocket than the car itself. Twice already I had to give it into service because of a broken seat. The Bluetooth sometimes decides not to play my media and I have to disconnect and reconnect the phone. The Bose speakers are unimpressive. Bose just underwhelms. This is a car that could have been great but came with so many flaws especially with the price I paid. What would I advise? Maybe get it without the premium seats, prob more comfy. And try to get the bowers and Wilkins speaker upgrade for a better audio experience.

Console, what console?
The Q7 had an amazing, quiet ride and great handling. I chose not to purchase the vehicle simply because of the interior design. The console and cup holders are extremely small and the dash interface is not touchscreen, which seemed to take too much attention away from the road. The large center hump in the 2nd seat row floor space was also a deterrent - making it feel like an SUV fit for 4. (The 3rd row seat would be good for a couple small children - not different from the other 3 row mid-size SUV’s we looked at.)
