Good as a rental not a buy!

I waited a year into the remodel of the Q7 and was excited to own my first Audi. The excitement is over and I am ready to turn in my Q7 for something else. The space was good for a 7 seater not having the large footprint of an Escalade or Mercedes G series. The turbo 6 performs well with multiple occupants and cargo. The technology takes some getting used to, as it constantly changes bluetooth connections between phones even though the main paired phone is actively playing music. The biggest gripe has to be the amount of oil I have had to add to this car over the 2+ years of driving it. The system seems to ask for a quart of oil every 3 months or so. I am a low volume equal city/highway driver with less than 25k miles on the vehicle. The seats are extremely comfy and the ride is smooth even on rough surfaces. Coming from a BMW X6 I appreciated the additional space, but the German cars all seem to have technical issues that take away from the overall cars looks and aesthetics.

Had issues with 1) squeaky steering. Took it into Audi 7 times and NOT fixed. 2) computer system had to be changed 2 times 3) Audi extended warranty is difficult to work with. Will not cover anything w/o a legal fight. 4) tire wear is horrible. I am told that 20K miles is normal for such a heavy car in FL. 5) Audi WPB is useless. They are not a good service Dept.

We have owned our 2018 Audi Q7 Prestige for 9 months and nearly 12,000 miles. My wife and I could not be happier with the vehicle. We have taken two cross country trips (2000 miles; 1200 miles) and several shorter (200 - 400 miles) journeys. The car is quiet and comfortable. Reasonable visibility for a car its size. Good storage capacity with third row seats folded. No mechanical issues at all to report. We live out West and the car cruises comfortably at 75 - 85 mph with good milage for the vehicle's size making our longer trips a dream. Our only quibbles are the infant only sized third row seats and the lack of a spare tire. My wife has hit 100 mph while passing other vehicles but wasn't aware of her actual speed until I pointed it out to her! Overall, the vehicle is pricey but worth it. No regrets. Cross shopped the usual suspects (Acura MDX, BMW X5, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Lexus RX 350, and Mercedes); the new generation BMW X5 is probably an equal or better car but at a higher price for a comparably equipped vehicle.

Great SUV & wonderful dealership experience

My wife and I leased a Audi Q7 premium plus back in 2007 and then moved to MB GL450 for our last 2 leases as the design and features grew stale on the Q. Happy to report that we are back with Audi and very pleased with our new 2018 Q7 Prestige (fully loaded) as its comfort, interior design and technology are its greatest assets. However, I wish Audi would have taken more chances with the design as it is not as aggressive as some competitors as well as increased cargo space to include room for a spare tire and larger coffee cups. That being said, we are really enjoying the vehicle and I have to mention our experience with the new Hawthorne Audi dealership in NY was wonderful and my Audi Brand Specialist (salesman) Devin Wooten was just terrific to work with. I love my Audi Q7. It has everything I want in an SUV. There are so many bells and whistles. It gets very good gas mileage for its size. The most important feature for me is that visibility is great. No blind spots. It holds the road. I love the Head’s Up Display. I feel very secure and safe in this car. And it has tremendous storage for carrying whatever you need when the back two rows of seats are folded down. I love the back massage feature on the heated seat.
