Plug in heart ache
Love driving it.Fear breakdown. In a year transmission left us stranded. Electric failure once. Three modules had to be replaced for air conditioning.

Q5 2021 compared with Q5 2014
I write this review to express my opinion of the 2021 Q5 Premium compared with the 2014 Premium Plus which I traded in (owned from new). Improvements: the design is sharper, interior layout has improved, especially placement of the start/stop button and the easier to use temperature and fan controls. Acceleration and handling is sharper, and brakes more efficient and no longer squeak. What's worse: The ride is more firm, tire noise from the Continentals is worse than the Michelins, there is excessive wind noise even at 40mph, the glove box and central storage are smaller. In the trunk the under floor storage 'cubby holes' are gone because of the new emergency tire system. The information screen is no longer embedded in the dashboard. The seats feel much firmer, and some of the door plastics are harder. The general feel of the car is that the quality, which Audi is renowned for, has deteriorated. My 2014 had only done 37,000 miles but it had a moonroof which I never used and asI had suffered some skin problems from the sun which penetrated the screen which is supposed to protect one. Audi will tell you that it gives 98% UV protection, but for how long? I live in Florida where dealers of some makes are now installing tints on the front side windows before releasing the car. My observation is that 95% of owners do not use the sunroof/moonroof. Audi is guilty of great waste and forcing buyers to have an unnecessary moonroof if they want the convenience package only available with a Premium Plus or special order. Overall I am greatly disappointed with my new Q5 and I fear that it's the last Audi I will buy.

Good gas mileage if it is the right fit
My driving is mostly shorter trips. So far I drove 5000 miles, about 70% fully electric at 73MPG + electricity. With an empty battery in hybrid mode, I am averaging about 35MPG in city driving and getting about 25 miles of electric range in the city.

Beyond expectation!
I was a little unsure whether to purchase Audi Q5 or another brand. At the end I choose Audi— definitely the best decision. The Premium Plus trim is great and technology is out of this world. Highly recommended it will never disappoint. Driving Audi, beyond the craftsmanship, it truly amazing experience that will leave you speechless.

Do not recommend
I bought a 2021 Q5 and have had nothing but problems since day 1. Audi Connect didn’t work for 6 months. Then Drive Assist thru 2 wheels into a ditch. You have to connect each time you get in the car. You have to select audio each time. Car Play doesn’t stay connected. Today it hard breaked when I tried to backup w/ no obstacles. Recall. Trading this vehicle asap.
