And it's still a thrill to drive and the look is still fire. So I've had Rhi Rhi now over 2 years and over 35k in miles and I haven't done anything to this car other than the required maintenance and new tires. No transmission issues, no engine problems, no overheating, no brake problems...mechanically she's sound. The paint on the vehicle is fantastic, no fading and very little chips or even minor scratches. I don’t take any extra precautions like use a car cover as she resides at my residence beneath a carport and at work she sits in the hot GA sun. No cracks or splits in the dash or fading. The seats are holding up very well. I have the light gray ones and other than a little transference of indigo from my blue jeans, which amazingly cleans up nicely, no issues. Everything that was functioning day one still is working. I have and Australian Cattle dog that rides with me occasionally and the rear seats still look new, I do use a dog hammock. The ride and performance are still great. I changed to a different tire by Continental but I actually noticed an improvement in road noise and comfort due to better tires. The OEM weren't bad. The sporback is an amazingly good looking vehicle and the hatch is a huge plus when it comes to me loading items in from places like home improvement stores. Heck I loaded a 65 gallon aquarium in the hatch area. Since I've had mine I've noticed several newer ones in the workplace parking lot. 3 by people who’ve asked me about mine. One of them works with me, he traded in year old 3 BMW for one that looks just like mine save for the black optic package. He's always been a BMW guy, but now I believe that's changed. He raves about the vehicle often. No buyer’s remorse or regrets, so much so that my dealership has tried to get me into a newer model, the S5, RS 5, and even a S7....but I'm good. My personal mechanic who works only on German vehicles specializing in VW and Audi told me this car is the sweet spot that even Audi didn't realize how good they did creating this one. I only see him for oil changes. As far as car purchases go, this is number 13 for me and is tied with one other of the 13 so That would be a 2001 Acura 3.2 CL i had for over 9 years. And I had two other Acuras, a 2009 and 2010 both TL models with SH-AWD. No buyers remorse or regrets, so much so that my dealetship has tried to get me into a newer model, the S5, RS 5, and even a S7....but I'm good.My personal mechanic who works only on German vehicles specializing in VW and Audi told me this car is the sweet spot that even Audi didn't realize how good they did creating this one. Mid January 2022. At 61k miles the engine is head. The number one piston went to less than 30% compression and metal is in the oil. Warranty, expired and no help fro Audi USA or dealership. Over $19k for a new engine. Payments still left. I’m done with Audi and or any other VE products as my 2017 had electoral issues, I traded that for the Audi. Three days before four years of ownership and the thrill was gone, gone away. I wish you current owners better fortunes. Peace.

This is my 2nd a5 Cpe & 6th Audi, they just keep getting better...the re-design is classy, sleek, & way better in engine performance, sound, acceleration. Love it, this could be the keeper! B & O is beyond awesome. The materials aren't quiet as high quality as earlier models (trim), & don't care for the controls for the sound system as its not as user friendly as previous models which were more straight forward. Really dislike the new cup holder location in the front, under the dash, no average height bottles here. Please put them back in the center.

I have owned Triumphs, Austin Healy’s, 3 BMW’s, a Boxster, 2 Miata’s, etc., and this is by far the most overall enjoyable convertible and car I have owned. I really liked BMW’s evolution to hardtop convertibles until I bought my Audi A5. The soft top is every bit as quiet as the hardtop convertibles, but the additional trunk space when the top is down is significant (means I can get my golf clubs in the trunk versus back seat)! The power in the A5 is quite impressive, and I have even gotten up to 38 MPG on the highway. This is a very smooth driving and accelerating car, with slightly less road feel that my 05 BMW 3 series, but comparable feel to the BMW 4 series. The technology and sound system are second to none, and I have found them very user friendly and easy to learn and use. With the wind stop in place and windows up with the top down, there is minimal wind buffeting. If too hot, the ventilated seats keep you much cooler (BMW does not have this helpful feature). And the rear seats are adequately comfortable around town for adults, but getting in and out is a challenge. This Audi A5 will likely be a long term keeper for me, for it may be the best overall car I have driven! I have now owned this car for over a year, and all of the positive comments I entered are still true about this great car. And the mileage remains an impressive overall 32 MPG. I would gladly buy this car again...but it WILL be a long term keeper for me!

24,500 miles on this now. Tires wore out a bit faster than I expected and I'll need to get 4 new ones soon, which will run me at least $1000. Performance is excellent for a 4cyl, particularly acceleration off the line. The car is very, very quiet on decent roads, and the interior is immaculate. It's not something you'll use to haul more than 2 people around for more than a few miles at a time, and I knew this going in. The storage room is exceptional for this size of car. Quattro system really makes you feel confident on the road. I absolutely love the look of this car both inside and out. The base safety systems that come with this car are very nice to have. Frustrations are few but I'll note them now. First, I wish they'd have made the gas tank a few gallons bigger, as I feel like range is too short if you're driving in the city. I am replacing a 2009 Acura TSX which had about a 16 gal tank, so it's a bit annoying. Apple CarPlay issues I had early on seem to have been fixed through iOS updates, and while it occasionally doesn't connect, for the most part the glitches i had early on have disappeared. I use Waze, Apple Music, and almost never the Audi MMI or nav. Basic front of cockpit storage is pretty inadequate. No sunglass storage, very little center console storage (probably for the better so I don't stash useless things). The cup holders are aligned in a way that has larger cups hitting the button stack above it, which is annoying. The virtual cockpit is fun and useful, the large on dash screen as well, and the MMI system is very user friendly.

Audi hit a grand slam with the 2018 A5 Cab. Super fun to drive, exterior and interior design are minimalist and logical. Crisp steering and acceleration. Exceptional storage space and backset roominess for the kids ( and even adults) to enjoy the ride. Interior materials are exceptional. The nighttime lighting configuration is beautiful. If you are buying this car you must get the upgraded Bang and Olufsen sound system and upgraded (ventilated seats). Upgraded sound is a $900 upgrade and worth every penny when you are on the highway with the top down. Upgraded seats are the most comfortable I have ever experienced. Because Audi was able to make the body extra stiff and the top is 3 layers of sound proofing, you will not lose performance due to the soft top or even feel like you are in a convertible with the top up. My only issue is the software that powers the MMI is slightly buggy. If you are considering the A5, go for the Cab. you will not regret it!
