My t-100 has 70,000 miles on it now and I've never had to do any repairs at all. That's right - not one problem in 70,000 miles and all I do is change the oil. It's a good looking and great truck overall (engine is a little underpowered with my suspension lift and big tires) but the reliability of this truck is what makes it awesome!

This Could Be The Ultimate Truck

This truck has to do it all: work hard all day in 4WD out in the woods on a tree farm, haul the kids to school, and look good downtown on a night out (and be easy to park). It does all of this in great style, and has never had need for more than regular maintenance. It is a torque monster - it has literally pulled stumps out of the ground many times. All this and fuel economy too, are you listening Detroit?

I've owned this T100 for 8 years and have had not problems to speak of. I live in the mountains in Colorado with snow on the ground 6 months of the year. The 4 wheel drive works much better than the American work vehicles that I drive. It now has 225,000 miles on it and it runs and looks great. I would definitely buy another T100 if they offered at V8 version. My next truck will be a Tundra with a V8.

Toyota has built a good truck. I have driven my truck across country twice with a full load, and I never had a problem. I have 76,000 on the truck now and I have only had to do the routine work to keep it running great. The driver seat can get a little uncomfortable on long drives.

What can I say. I have abused this vehicle since I bought it new. I put 22k miles on in the 1st 3 months. I have hauled heavy oilfield equipment, towed trailers. Run through mud, chains on all 4. Twice as many hours including idling on worksite as miles. It does not burn a drop of oil. I have replaced the clutch, new brakes, muffler, timing belt, etc. Wonderful vehicle. I averaged between 20 and 26 MPG over its great life. Slightly smaller than full size, but tire tracks match well in deep mud with other pick- ups. Can not say the same for the Tacoma. I liked so much, I bought a new Crew Cab Tundra 2004.
