great car for a great price
i got mine for $18.1k plus tax/etc. i love it so far. although, i think my radio atenna is malfunctioning. i love the seats! they're very confortable and sporty. the 07 model is definitely better. they have nice upgrades like HID headlights, LED tailights and mp3 player but i got the 06 model at a big discount.
Sporty and Classy
I bought my Toyota Solara in 2007. It was a 2006. 1 year old. I had my Toyota Solara for 10 years. It's the best Toyota I have ever owned. I have had only Toyota's all my life. It was my 5th Toyota. In 10 years. It never gave me any major problems. That car was good to me until someone hit and ran me and totaled the car. Now I am searching for another used Toyota Solara.

STYLISH, ECONOMICAL & FUN TO DRIVE
After stating repeatedly that I would never buy a 4-cylinder, two-door car, I fell in love with the Toyota Camry Solara. Having a limited amount to spend and wanting something more econimical than my last car (a 2001 Nissan Maxima SE), I searched the internet, spoke to people and decided to test-drive the Solara (both the 4 & 6 cylinder models). Both my husband and I were more than satisfied with the pick-up and ride the 4-cylinder provided and purchased the car that same day. Although it's difficult for an adult to climb into the back seat, the few occasions I have more than one passenger in the car doesn't warrant another two doors.
Love it but wish I had the V6
Im 17 and I bought mine 3 months ago with 65,000 miles as my first car I love ALMOST everything about this car. Its in superb condition. The car is comfortable, handles well, reliable because its a Toyota, and is for the most part rattle-free which means its built well. Two things I don't like about this car are the acceleration and the MPG. Even when I accelerate and brake gradually and coast as much as possible, I never get more than 17 MPG city, as opposed to the claimed 23 MPG city. Acceleration is not great, the V6 probably delivers better but overall I am very very happy.
Excellent
I love my car excellent driving. Runs very smooth. excellent on turns. Very roomy. I havent seen the gas mileage yet. The longest distance drove was 300 miles one way. Which was ok the most I have gotten in was 24.9 on the highway, but in surface street 22.9 and 23.9 sometimes 24.0
