I love my '99 Grand Prix. It has great power for having over 115,000 miles on it. I have noticed a hole forming on the passenger side under the door and I have seen others with it too. Its an older car so I know its bound to happen, but it makes me sad because I love this car so much!! I recommend the Grand Prix if you want a sporty car with some power.

As I reviewed differing sedans in the 20K price range, I found that the base model of the GP boasted good power in its 200hp engine and a good ride. In 3+ years of ownership, the vehicle has been reliable and fun to zip through canyon roads on trips. While it's not a coupe, if you need room for kids, it will satisfy your need for speed.

I bought the vehicle in a crunch situation, and now wish I would've never looked American. The imports (Honda, Toyota) are light years ahead in engine science and quality of interior and paint exterior. The foreign market holds value much better and for the amount of money I paid for the 3100 V6, I would rather buy a 6- cylinder V-tec in the Accord or the V- tec in the Prelude. Much improvement is necessary.

This car was ok, but had some issues and depreciated. Bought it in 02 for 7k and sold it in 05 for 1400 while in college. Issues were leaky weather stripping on the sun roof, would drip on me after rains. Gas gauge out (bad sending unit), a/c went out. Other than that major mechanical was fine and so was drivability.
