Can't Beat it for the Price

I bought this truck after comparing with the Tacoma. The Tacoma is 5 grand more money and the Nissan has the power. The truck has a real solid feel. The utility track system in the bed is a great idea and I am looking forward to the first time I have to tie something down. When the truck is idling, you can tell it is a powerhouse. I haven't owned it that long to encounter any problems. I haven't had any so far. Hopefully, I won't. Fuel economy could be better, but you can't have it both ways. I had a Matrix. 32mpg, but no power or size. This truck has some weight to it and is a real powerhouse

I bought my 2007 in 2016 as a means of transportation. A to B. Not because I wanted a Frontier or even a Nissan. It's what I found for a good price in good enough shape. Got me to work and got my junk home from the hardware store or where ever. Now I love it. It has 174,000 miles and still rides and drives smooth as any truck I've ever had. Mostly Fords. I just cleaned the engine, washed and waxed it and cleaned the interior and it looks new. Interior has held up fantastic. Paint has minor road dings on the front but is glossy and smooth. Chrome is perfect. No leaks. 4x4 system worked great in snow last winter. Just a solid well built truck. Not too big, not too small. Good power and good fuel economy. 11 year old truck but doesn't look dated. Styling is timeless. Slight hesitation in the transmission from stop occasionally. Not bad...yet. *Update* I added half a quart of Lucas to the transmission and never had another slip. I bought a 25' 5,000 lb. travel trailer and pulled it around the flatlands of coastal NC with no trouble. I was so impressed with the performance and reliability of this Nissan that I went ahead and traded it for a Titan XD. Now I pull my trailer up the mountain with no trouble. I'll review the Titan shortly but from my experience the Frontier is a solid investment and by for outperforms the older model Tacoma, Durango, Ranger, etc.

I went from a Land Rover Freelander and to a Nissan Frontier 4WD and feel that I have made an excellent choice. Very surprised by the power for a mid- sized truck, very comfortable and a nice ride.

Wanted a four door pickup to get me to work, pick up groceries and occasionally haul a couple of 2x4s or a couple to dinner. Truck is too big and overpowered for my needs, but a compromise and the best overall choice for me compared to a Tacoma, Canyon, Sport Trac. Lots of minor irritations in the interior design, but the Nissan reputation for reliability was a big selling point for me.

The Frontier crew cab has nice road feel - stable and solid, a comfortable ride and great space utilization options behind the driver seat. I think with a few improvements/options it could fit the needs of lots more customers than it currently attracts and could be a perfect choice for those of us looking for an all around vehicle with versatility and don't need a truck for towing or offroading.
